this is the story of Job who trusted God
he came through terrible trials and tests
praising God all the while through the pain
His story will always be remembered
and Job's song will forever be sung
yes Job's song will be forever sung

Job was a man who feared God
one day when the angels met 
and gathered before the Lord 
 Satan was also among them
and that devil said to God
take away all that Job has, 
and he'll curse you to your face

And the Lord said unto Satan,
all that he has you can take
Satan went away from God
and smote Job with boils 
from his head to feet
taking all his riches
and killed his family

Job cursed the day he was born
 and his friends wagged the finger
asking Job to come clean
for bringing this curse on himself
his wife also mocked him each day
yet Job never cursed the Lord
but knew it was part of the plan

finally God said enough
He told Job's friends to be quiet 
and restored Job to health
then gave him a new family
and  also very great wealth
Satan was laughed out of heaven
but Job's song is still sung today
