"Take A Little Time" The Story!

By RoPerry, 2009-12-08
Hello Friends and Christian Family,
As I am growing as a Christian and Woman of God, I am learning that my testimony and story can heal other people. I wrote the song "Take A Little Time" in 2007. I was going through a second divorce and was feeling down and depressed about myself because of my past mistakes. I was feeling alone and felt I had noone to turn to at that time. When we are down we fool ourselves into thinking that noone cares or understands, and we are the only one going through a storm. The Lord started to bring all the beautiful people in my life who do love me such as my beautiful parents, my children, and even the Lord himself. Then, these lyrics came to me, "Take A Little Time." I realized when we reach out to others, they reach out to us. Do you realize the amount of lives you touch daily? You are so important! The love we give encourages the next person who is experiencing their own adversity. My message is always that "Life is a gift and the more love we...

He Looked Beyond My Faults-RoPerry

By RoPerry, 2010-01-07
As a little girl, I always thought the song "He Looked Beyond My Faults" was a Baptist hymn. Last year while I was completing my album, this particular song ministered to me, so I decided to research the roots. I was surprized to find that the extraordinary author of this song, Ms. Dotti Rambo passed away in 2008. My heart just jumped! Not only did she write this beautiful song, she wrote another well-known song titled "We Shall Behold." She is one of the most successful female songwriters of all time. As a singer-songwriter myself, I arranged this medley with the second verse of "Amazing Grace" as a tribute to Ms. Rambo. We learn something new everyday! Be blessed my Indie Gospel Family and Friends!

Love,
RoPerry

Daddy's Little Angel (My Song)

By RoPerry, 2010-01-24
Hello Indie Gospel Artist Friends and Family,
Many people tell me that I am a dramatic and passionate being! That is a good thing. I wrote this song about my own daddy to encourage all the wonderful fathers in the world, and currently it seems to be the most popular song on the album! On this album about my Christian life, this song was written directly for my father who is a Christian minister . This morning at church, one of my Christians sisters who recently purchased an album told me how much she loved it, but her favorite song is “Daddy’s Little Angel.” Wow, you just never can tell! This being the digital age, I made all of my songs available on itunes. I was surprised when I checked today to see the song popularity that this song is being downloaded the most! I guess it is symbolic of our love for our Heavenly Father. We all need a loving father! My natural father is the most loving man I know. I was actually tearing while I recorded it because the lyric are so true. I...

You Can Survive (RoPerry)

By RoPerry, 2010-02-24

“The negativities of life may leave you feeling defeated, but the revelation of the experience is God’s purpose completed!” This was the final phrase God gave me to complete this album, “Life the Be Inspired Project.” I wrote a (Part II) to my original song, “You Can Survive” to display the spiritual growth that God has given me from this album experience. I have written many more songs, but after God gave me this phrase, he gave me confirmation that this album is complete! He continually gives me confirmation that this album is his will. When people say, “Ro, this album is healing, and I have to listen to it over and over!” That lets me know that God is doing what he said he would do. No, everyday has not been easy, and sometimes I’ve felt like giving up. Sometimes we have to move out of our comfort zone for God to move in our lives. Yes, that is exactly what I had to do. I had to remove my own personal doubts and fears and truly...

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching. Are you looking for a nice song to share with her? You loved "Daddy's Little Angel;" it still remains our top downloaded song from the new album! (We thought our mommy’s song would win!) Here is a beautiful song titled "Mother We Love You" which celebrates the love and strength of beautiful mothers around the world just in time for Mother’s Day 2010. Timing is always important as an Indie Artist! I wrote this song a few years ago for my mother’s 50 th Birthday, and sang it with my other two sisters as a gift to her. To add a little something special to the album , I recorded this heart-felt song as duet with my brother Redd (my whole family sings). We all know that boys are usually “moma’s boys!” Another reason this song is special is that I am also a mother of three children myself, so...
