and though you know your future home's in heaven the present feels so bleak

but there's a truth the light of whats to come that no darkness can hide

so even if his promises right now seem far away

there's a reason for the hurt , a purpose in the pain
in each unanswered prayer , in every shattered dream
all the trials you've endured with which you've tried so hard to cope
are only meant to point you to this blessed hope
