Songwriter and Producer Tashai Houston's new single, "I Believe", is a bold, exhilarating, heartfelt, and inspiring mix of edgy pop, reggae, gospel, and R & B genres and is sure to please the senses of even the most eclectic music lover. Born in the rolling country hills of Saint Ann, Jamaica, Tashai received Christ as her Lord and savior at a young age. Her passion and anointing for singing led her early in her career to lead praise and worship teams and choirs at several churches.
Her early experiences in the music industry included singing background vocals for several local Caribbean gospel artists and bands. In 2009, she burst onto the music scene, releasing her debut cover, "Sheltered in the Arms of God", under the tutelage of veteran multi award winning songwriter and producer Wayne Stoddart on Undiluted Muzik Record Label. "Sheltered in the arms of God" helped launch the singer to fandom, showcasing her vocal capabilities with over 700,000 views and over 1,000 likes on YouTube alone. Tashai continued to excel to even higher heights in her music career with her subsequent singles, "I Give You the Glory Lord", and "Love You So Much", two unique and breathtaking twists on the original song versions.
