The doctrine of justification
You know James the Apostle said that he can show you his works by his faith. 2:44 noon. 01/10/22
He even said/implied James ; can your faith save you? You can have faith but if it's not in the atonement being the work of the Lord Jesus Christ and faith in him alone it's a waste when it comes to Salvation.
So if we are saved by faith alone. Grace through faith alone and so what does "Works" have to do to with it? Your Works don't save you but James said or he made a controversial statement " show me your faith and I will show you my faith by my works." By what? By my works. But then that destroys justification doesn't it? Is Works being used as a metaphor for an action? I mean you need to make a decision to do something. You see James even said Can Faith save you?
No your faith does not save you. Really? People like to argue silliness. To have faith and put it in a person you have to do something. And there are those who say if somebody says you have to do something don't listen to them because I've heard that. You have to make a free choice to believe in a messiah being a savior of the world. In this case he is the biblical Lord Jesus Christ. You have to believe in your heart that he is exactly who he said he was and he died; was buried and rose again on the third day. Then you have to make a choice that you're going to accept the free gift of God which is John 3:16.
Jesus once said repent or perish. That is a command. That is also a statement. He said if you don't repent you will all likewise perish. He used the word all. To repent is to make a turnaround from some sort of sinful way. Maybe you had or a person had a verbal insulting swearing mouth. Maybe they were steeped in fornication and idolatry. You see since salvation comes from God and it doesn't come from you because you have to make a choice to accept it unless you choose to do nothing. It's God's son who lay down his life freely and he didn't need you to do it.
Now for an example. If you were to work for 3 hours for somebody at $10 an hour and in 3 hours you should have $30 coming. And if you have done this before and you always got paid you have faith enough to know that you will get paid again and your time is not wasted. If you went to an automotive dealership and you put $100 down on a $100,000 car and you told them you're going to get a raise and then you'll come in and get a loan and buy the whole car but you had a peanut job that is foolish faith. But then there's another type of faith. Human relationship faith. For example if you were dating somebody and you treated them like gold and you knew this pleased them then you have faith that you done a good deed and it will pay off. Most probably it will enhance the relationship. Let's say that Jesus never really lived so you put your faith in somebody named Tom Brooke who people told you was the Messiah but he wasn't then your faith is useless.
Now here is a good knowledge.
People also ask: What does the Bible define as work? Whats the difference between faith and works? In summary, both faith and works are important in salvation. However, believers are justified, or declared righteous before God, solely by faith. ... Christians are saved by God's grace through faith alone. Works, on the other hand, are the evidence of genuine salvation. Sept 10, 2019
Jesus said if you love me keep my Commandments. He said I give you a new commandment to love each other. But you might reason I'm not saved by works. Today I don't feel like showing any love to these people. You might reason to hell with them. Because you have realized that you're not saved by works. You see God extended grace which is his doing. He is being honourable, loving and merciful. You could abuse that grace and shall it abound. Then perhaps God stops blessing you because you have annoyed him or made him angry at you. Should we take for granted. We are told we are to give thanks and supplication always and acknowledging in all our ways. That means don't take his name in vain using it as a cuss word. If life is a test and God is always testing people and there are trials that people learn from then can we just diminish them and do what Eve did. Eve disobeyed God. The serpent tempted the woman. Sin entered the World by one man Adam. 101 a.m. today
