In Christ We Obey Our Lord

Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Peter 1:13 - Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

While  you as true Christians are living by the spirit many people live in the flesh and will continue too. Because of this they are unholy. Because of this they disobey their own creator who said as it is written you shall love God with all your heart mind and soul. Because of this abortions will continue throughout the world into the millions. Because of this man is under judgment whether he like it or not. Man sees himself as the higher power but even in Moses day the higher power was seen in the evidence of the miracles Moses did. Even when he opened the sea and when he turned their Nile into blood. Yet many of those exiles later fell away and they built the golden calf and disobeyed the voice of God who sent them the deliver. Scripture tells us that you have to renew your mind. Jesus tells us that we are to deny ourselves and pick up our cross daily or we are not worthy of Christ. The prosperity Gospel tells us that we can in essence live a life of luxury and that God will furnish us with whatever we want as long as we give to them. But God confirms many times over John 2:16 as being the truth and that is rock solid today. They have made the house of God into a den of thieves. Many Christians and even preachers are under the impression or we can call it an illusion that all is paid for and so "grace" can be stretched beyond it's limits. But Christ already told us of Revelation and in prophecy what will happen on the day of judgment as he parts the goats from the sheep. We can't have it both ways and we are not the Vine as we are the branches. It is carnally minded to live in the flesh and it doesn't produce eternal life but it produces death. To live by the spirit you profit by the spirit and you reset your mind to the things that are higher that are eternal. You praise God and you set your mind on things that are good report. People will use the excuse that Apostle Paul said that there is no good thing in his flesh. Remember he had a thorn in his flesh. Paul said he ends up doing the things that he does not want to do yet he's an apostle and holds or held that office. Does that give us excuses? We are taught to press in. We are told the way is a straight gate and that few find it in their lifetime. Jesus said a man who looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God. This is not simply to make you think that you are lost forever and that you can't do what is too hard to do. This is to state the truth because it could set you free. You have it in you to live in the spirit. If Christ truly dwell in you then you truly have it in you because you have the mind of Christ. It's just like taking the training wheels off of a tricycle. You can learn to do it. It is written the body without the soul or we can call it the spirit is dead. It is also written God is a spirit and he must be worshiped in spirit and in truth. It is also written that the things that are now are only a shadow of what is too come.

Greater is he that is in you that is in the world. Remember John 10:10 often

Philippians 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Romans 12:1-2 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Are we truly obeying the Vine? Are we carnally minded? It is a reasonable service to do such as keep our bodies holy. God does not consider this a burden for us.

2 Corinthians 4:16 - For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

To live in the spirit is to eternal life. Many are called and few are chosen. What will it profit a man to gain the world and to forfeit his own soul. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. 6:44 a.m. January 13th 2022

Sow to the spirit not the flesh

Very important after notes. Yes there are truly  Christians that are born again but they act like they're not. Some are discovering the facets of truly being born again and some are confused. I read a good story about a born again Christian who has great insight. If you are truly born again you know it despite what people might think. Instead of judging your brothers and sisters in Christ start praying for them everyday. This would make the master content.

I'm not promoting one pasture or one preacher over another and because I provide a link I think it is because I like what I hear. I periodically check because we have brothers and sisters in Christ in many facets of the faith. I like the way Charles Lawson preached this sermon. God is a spirit and he must be worshiped in spirit and in truth. God is eternal from Everlasting to Everlasting.
