Now these two chapters in The Book of Numbers in numbers 13 and in numbers 14 is extraordinary. Of course this is Old Testament and in it there's a report of the land. But the people later murmur against Moses and God takes this very serious and he makes some judgments. If you read this chapter you will know what sin is to God and you will also know what faith is. How important faith is and obeying the word of the Lord.

We are presently under the New Testament. We are saved by grace through faith and not by works. It is the gift of God.
Ephesians 2:8-9
King James Version
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast .
The Bible tells us if the time had not been cut short that no flesh or should we say human flesh be saved.
Matthew 24:22
King James Version
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
I suggest you know whom the Lord Jesus Christ truly is. He was a Jewish Messiah and he is risen in glory. He is the unblemished Lamb of God and on earth he was a Rabbi.
[9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
1 Corinthians 15: 1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures
Galatians 1:8-9
King James Version
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
James says, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James 2:26). Faith without works is a dead faith because the lack of works reveals an unchanged life or a spiritually dead heart. There are many verses that say that true saving faith will result in a transformed life, that faith is demonstrated by the works we do. How we live reveals what we believe and whether the faith we profess to have is a living faith.
There are backsliders and people whom abuse grace. No one is perfect but bless disciple Roberts. My aim is for all us to get in a habit of examining ourselves. I don't condemn people ministries. And love is important as I did read about Paul's 2nd 3rd warming to the Corinthians.
What does James 2:26 mean?
"Here James completes his case for an often-misunderstood teaching. His point is that genuine faith in God naturally leads the believer to participate in good works. This isn't a particularly radical idea, even from a non-spiritual point of view. If we actually believe that God is truly God and that He has saved us through our faith in Christ, why would we not obey Him? Our deeds don't earn our salvation, but what we do proves whether or not we really have saving faith."
Do We Deny or Proclaim Christ?
"This is one terrifying passage where Jesus says “everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God, but the one who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God” (Luke 12:8-9). How many people that you work with, or among your friends or in your family know that you are a Christian? If you deny Christ before others then Christ will deny you before the Father and the angels of God. We have far too many who claim to be Christians but are not living like Christians. They are silent, underground, secret agent Christians who are afraid to bring Christ up in the conversation because we fear man more than God (Matt 10:28) and they are not like Paul who was not ashamed of the gospel (Rom 1:16). If we are ashamed of Christ, so will He of us on the day of His visitation, but then it will be too late."
No Christian is sinless but we do sin less but those who keep “on sinning has either seen him or known him.”
"A tough but spiritually beneficial question to ask ourselves regularly is, “What is my spiritual condition?” The prophet Jeremiah called God’s people to honest self-evaluation and repentance: “Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD” (Lamentations 3:40). Scripture calls us to “test everything,” renounce evil, and “hold fast what is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21–22, ESV)"
