I talked about false doctrine and Paul talked about this in scripture. We know salvation is by grace through faith and not by works. And so true preachers are out there preaching Paul's gospel. But of course the word of God can be taken out of context especially when it's not understood and lots of us at times have done this. One verse that many people do this with is when they have to buy the swords and people say it was done for protection. But when Apostle Peter cut off the ear of the Roman soldier Christ healed it. It was bought because prophecy have to be fulfilled. Another one that I understand that people take out of context is where two or three are gathered in his name being Christ there he is among them. But it is really talking about church discipline or we can say discipline in fellowship and in whatever way it might present itself. But if a person is in Christ he is already with them. And of course they can quench the spirit.
Now one of the misconceptions or the misuse of the word of faith movement is turning God into a magic genie that just wants to furnish you with worldliness and all manner of wealth including excellent health at all times. This is false. With faith even the amount of a mustard seed the king of kings said that you could move mountains. He told people when he did miracles and healed them that their faith healed them. And it's not clear if people still have all the gifts of the Apostles including healing but its disputed. You have prayer and as a true Christian who is born again you can do in faith many wonderful things. But also you are not above your master and you have to remember to be humble. There are a lot of charlatans in the world and Apostle Peter gave great warnings. Matter of fact so did Apostle Paul. And so I reviewed some people's writings on this subject matter.
What are some false teachings?
Some of the most prevalent of false doctrines are worshipping Mary; Jesus Christ is not God; Christ's blood does not atone; baptism by any means other than immersion; speaking in tongues that are not known languages; Spirit baptism, etc. Aug 31, 2012

Commentary on Colossians 2 by Matthew Henry - (Here)
Here below Henry Matthew commentary on the book of Colossians 2.
Matthew Henry: Commentary on Colossians 2
Chapter 2 quoted by Henry Matthew
I. The apostle expresses concern for the Colossians (v. 1-3).
II. He repeats it again (v. 5).
III. He cautions them against false teachers among the Jews (v. 4, 6, 7), and against the Gentile philosophy (v. 8-12).l
IV. He represents the privileges of Christians (v. 13-15). And,
V. Concludes with a caution against the judaizing teachers, and those who would introduce the worship of angels (v. 16-23).
Jesus was born a Jewish child. He was Hebrew. He probably spoke Hebrew and maybe an offshoot or dialect of aramaic. He never spoke english and most likely they believe he did not have hair like a hippie. They had certain precepts in their customs they were to follow. We know without a doubt that his mother was given the name probably from an angel of the Lord Emmanuel which means God with us. Even some of the believers being the Jews call him Yeshua. And they still refer to him as Jesus to. He was rejected and despised and well acquainted with sorrow. Yet he is the unblemished Lamb of God. He is risen in glory which is true. He is the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the father but by him.
And true Christians are always learning and being perfected. Some are on milk and some are on meat. People are given different gifts and they can use them in whatever way serves the Lord. So we hear about all these false gospels. And I know the gospel is the good news because we were given a savior and a way to be forgiven and for that relationship to be restored between God and Men. We can approach the altar of grace too. God is forgiving and that is written and John 3:16 along with his gift of salvation.
If you look through some of the writings of other preachers and Christians you will discover that people have perverted the gospel whereas God accepts all manner of sexual preference and somebody can un-hinge and just approach it with spirituality. The true gospel is the good news. But truly there are 66 books to the canonized Bible. I believe the King James Bible is the closest Bible we have to perfection. There are perhaps a couple of other versions which come close. But there are people that study these matters and they won't budge from the King James Bible. When you seek out and research these provided links you will discover there are many perverted versions of the Bible and you can research why. And because we are not saved by works many people hold on that once you are saved nothing can take you out of his hands. We have prayer and we can pray for other Christians. They can also have support from their brothers and sisters in Christ. We can't take nothing for granted. And we got to remember we have an intercessor and he is the only mediator between God and men and he is the messiah. We also got to remember that he is a vine and he prunes the branches. I remember in scripture where God says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Hosea 4:6. 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God , I will also forget thy children.
God was not too happy with the murmuring of the people exiled from Egypt in the desert against Moses.
Now I want to reaffirm one scripture that people misunderstand
8. [1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit . [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Don't walk after the flesh. If you truly are born again then change occurred and you refrain from swearing and from doing things of the flesh. You keep your temple holy. 5:44 pm same day
In my after notes so recently I touched on Paul's gospel and also the serpent's generation of vipers. I noticed another Christian and his show covered fearing God. But there will always be other Christians that will come back with the good news and sort of dismiss the fundamentals of the message or take it offensively. God is out to get all Christians. I heard that recently. There are many people in the world and many of them are atheist or belong to other religions and serve other gods. We have back sliders and people our Lord and savior is perfecting. Hopefully the message doesn't get misconstrued. Actually Ruben Israel covered some of these false teachings on his show so I will have the video here as well. And I know there are other things taken out of context.
