What happened to Ananias and Sapphira in the Bible?

The account records their sudden deaths after lying to the Holy Spirit about money

There was a story with Apostle Peter where a couple sold some land I believe and defrauded the Lord being the Holy Ghost. Peter confront both of them and both of them gave up their ghost and dropped dead. You can say this is under the Old Testament but it's NOT. And what unhinging is say somebody  in Ministry in modern times and they're confronted with the same scenario within their congregations or somebody preaches this and they hear and they get offended because they might claim we're not under the law and we're under grace. It doesn't give us the right to abuse the work of ministry. I can't personally judge ministries but I could make a judgment call to see what is happening/right even accessing if I would want to be a part of that. See I know that the devil deceives the whole world and we're so easily swiped away. There are literally hundreds of thousands of denominations in the world and there have been from time and time being the first century forward. I do understand they once worshiped in fields, in houses and sometimes in public places in the first century forward. You see when Christ was judging the churches in the book of Revelation he had something against some of them. Some of them lost their first love and some of them were strong in the faith and they couldn't stand people that were evil. He warned them about taking their lamp stand away if they don't repent. So all I can say is if you're in church denomination I can't personally judge you but there is one who does. So I would hope and I can say pray that the congregation meets and overcomes these issues/obstacles returning to its first love if it in fact strayed.

Acts 5:1-11

5 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

Put on my heart with love for a while now please refrain from making the house of God into a den of thrives. The heart is abundantly wicked. God is not too pleased.  11:21 morning today
