Body of Christ with Christ being the head of the body

Ephesians Chapter 1

Ephesians Chapter 4

12 For the perfecting of the saints , for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Romans Chapter 12

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office :

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ , and every one members one of another.

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

1 Corinthians Chapter 14

26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.

31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

Timothy 3:8-13

9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.

11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

In my conclusion if you read Ephesians Chapter 4 it tells the people that God gave us to feed and serve in ministry. Some teachers, some apostles, some prophets, some evangelist. They are too edify the body of Christ. This is for the perfecting of the saints. Even deacons are called according to the Apostle Paul. So it states in scripture there are many members in one body and they don't all have the same office. But it tells us don't be tossed with all winds of doctrine here and there. When you do things do it with love. So when you come together you don't have to condemn each other because what is supposed to be done is accept everyone's different gifts. " Let all things be done unto edifying ." So if people are speaking in different tongues its telling us to let one member explain/interpret what is being said. So if there's no interpreter let the person be quiet and speak to God quietly in prayer. And look what is said " For God is not the author of confusion , but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." What churches? The church of the Saints .  April 21, 2022 7:44
