As I see it most preachers in the biblical Christianity believe we are in a period called the End of the Age.

She looks for intellectual ways to disprove God and the Bible. When you are blind, naked and sinful and you have a love for all those things that are fornication and of the world this is the defense that you/some people will come up with sometimes. They will argue for things that are of the world and not of God. Such people will seek to reap this life and lose the next. Christ said those who lose their life for the gospel sake will preserve it for eternity. There is no excuse by everything made it is evident that God is real.
