The complications of I never knew you that we can preach it on countless times over and can still be confused/confusing to many. Many will think in their minds I'm not confused it's simple. Yet people will claim grace and people will claim faith and they may claim they're not saved by works but have grace abound continually. That man is graceful. That woman is graceful. My grace is sufficient for you. Many are called and few are chosen.
When Jesus told people to repent he could have said I will extend grace to you so that you don't perish. He told the Pharisees if you don't believe in me you will all likewise perish. It's true though that God has given some people what appears to be extended grace. God loved us even before/after we were sinners. But there are people that are so wicked that they never understand and never experienced God's grace. You can go stay at somebody's house and they extend their welcome hospitality to you and you make noise and make their house dirty and smelly if you really want to get into the nitty gritty. You abuse your welcome. Where it gets difficult is when you truly are saved and now you have a new nature because you are a new creature in Christ. But you might still have some of your old habits. But you struggle with them and some of them you realize their only in the way. Because the things we highly esteem are an abomination to God. So let's discuss a little bit about I never knew you and if these people had grace (even his love) why are they cast away and rejected?
First of all I need to stress there is a life in Christ but many people are filled with religiosity and think that they are good and they think they're going to heaven because they're good when they are filled of all manner of abominations. But they are blinded and take grace for granted. They are like the dog who returned to his own vomit. If you cast your pearls before them they will rent you and their true nature is exposed. But they don't see it because they have been made blind by the God of this world. You see Apostle Peter said those trials were like gold.
The life in Christ is a life where you are covered under the blood. You are in grafted in to the body of Christ. You are now a child of God. You now see what he Christ sees and you walk the straight narrow road into the gate of the city. You refrain from swearing. God is your father. Christ is your master and your mediator. Prayer is something that is very important. You contend for the faith and carry your cross. The same cross that the world hates and rejects. You realize reaping the world is not the right way to live and less is more. You realize it's not about vanity but it is about holiness. It's about living the righteousness in Christ that he gives us through his grace. It's about living in faith. Putting your trust in him It is about knowing the word of God but being a doer. And I think they should teach more what is the life in Christ and also preach Christ crucified.
Matthew 7:21-23
King James Version
21 Not every one that saith unto me , Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity .
The Lord said that he came to divide with a sword being the word of his mouth and put daughter-in-law against mother-in-law. The Bible says God hates those who divide the brethren. And in the passage of Matthew he talks about don't judge your brothers and sisters. At the same time use righteous judgment. I just needed to basically clarify that.
So in Matthew 7:21-23 the Lord is making a statement that will come true because it's sort of prophecy on judgment Day. Like a professor giving you a warning for a coming exam he is giving them a clue and a great warning. These people will make a profession to him but he doesn't know of them and he tells them (declares on to them) they are workers of iniquity. Their hearts aren't changed even though they've done many wonderful works. The works can't save them and don't impress him. I've seen it written and heard people say these are counterfeit Christians. People could have religiosity and no relationship so he doesn't know them. There are so many different sectors claiming to be Christian. Obviously these people are not atheist. They're claiming to be believers. Iniquity is lawlessness. When Christ did his miracles in all his works even his deeds he was the unblemished Lamb of God. He didn't do them out of harsh bitterness trying to be good. You see why it is said David was a man after God's own heart. And to accuse the Pharisees, scribes and perhaps Sadducees that might also have some of the same attributes is because they lay heavy burden on people but they themselves are hypocrites. Even true Christians can become hypocrites or professing Christians. The heart has to be right with God. If you are in Christ you are said to be a saint and it's God who teaches you. It's God who instructs you in the end. He tells us forgive seven times 77 times. But if we as true Christians go somewhere say to a huge Rock concert with drugs presence in the crowd and people shouting out obscenities you are going to grieve the spirit and I'm just giving you one simple analogy. You know they say a little leaven leavens the whole lump. Now they're talking about doctrine. I believe mainly. But even as a true Christian you can go back to one of your old habits. Many true Christians slip away and there are false converts. If you truly are in Christ you will be convicted and you will know those things I mentioned are not proper. A true Christian will do spiritual warfare and put on the whole armor of God. It's not easy to contend for the faith and to carry your cross. So were these people true Christians? Because we have Mormons that believe you become gods and then we have other professing Christians who don't walk this road but claim to be believers. These people were casting out demons and were under the impression their works matter. But he doesn't know them. He said he never knew them. He sees them as lawless.
And look what he says
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.
You can search the scriptures and even claim to know God and never do them or just plainly out of ignorance don't listen to him so you're building your house on sand.
If you do it to the least of people including children you have done it on to him. Your works will be tried with fire and they matter but your heart has to be in right standing with God
Matthew 25:36
“ Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me .”
King James Version (KJV)
When your heart is in right standing you will understand.
In my after notes doing the will of God is to believe on his only begotten son and it is also putting your faith and trust in him and making him Lord of your life. It is in essence submission to his ways and to relinquish your old ways. You must be born again John 3:3
We're not under the law but yet being lawless matters to Christ on judgment Day. You could abuse grace and abuse others. He said be as gentle as swans but wise as serpents.
These people that are rejected on the day of judgment can say well I was doing the will of God they seem to believe but they appear to be professing true believers which is a little bit mind-boggling. Can you lose your salvation? He knows his sheep. He told us another clue to press in and finish the good fight as apostle Paul did. If you become abusive are you doing the will of God but you claim to be a believer? People are given different gifts of teaching. We know that God highly esteems a contrite man or woman and a god-fearing woman. We know that he had favor in the church that was persecuted but held to its convictions of righteousness and Holiness instead of riches like the rich one. John 2:16 magnified today .
