Romans 12:19
King James Version
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Deuteronomy 32:35
Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; Their foot shall slip in due time; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.’
This is very important because even for true Christians it is easy to go a little bit over board. I heard one brother say it's normal to be upset or mad or even angry at sinners. They dwell in their sin. They eat it for breakfast and for dinner. And many of us can relate. Some people are so far gone that it appears nothing can save them. But we should not take the law into our own hands. People reap what they sow and the drunk stumble and tumble. Think about it you drink to get drunk and you might go to a club to show off in front of women and in the end you look like a jerk. I'm just giving you one simple example.
Christ said to turn the other cheek and resist not evil. That doesn't mean a wife who's being beaten by her husband should not do anything about it. There are men when she tells them she's leaving them that persist in doing physical damage. This is taking the law into your own hands and not forgiving. (This man does not love her but loves the world and his sin) Even if she slept with five men you have no right to touch her. First of all if you're an atheist that's a big problem because you're not going to probably see it God's way. You have to communicate and not be physical. People are massive sinners and they are being magnetized into this world of fornication with subliminal advertising and in almost every facet of life. And again I'm just giving you one example. Remember Christ was mocked, spit on a man while acquainted with sorrow and rejected from his own people. They put thorns on his head and the Roman guards or soldiers fought over his clothes (gambling). Yet he was holy and the son of the living God. The Bible says it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Lord. God shall repay. If you would pay and you don't do it within God's statutes you are being defiant and rebellious. You don't have the right to do that. Even in the body of Christ we exercise certain authorities but within a limited framework. Many are called and few are chosen. People are called to different callings.
Now that was an old testament scripture. And even though we are not under the law shall grace abound and God still has laws and judgments. He just provided a grace period. This is something people even true Christians violate and justify. In short form if you were to go to somebody's house and abused their hospitality and started to mistreat members of their family shouldn't they throw you out and cut you off? Then you have abused grace by showing little or no respect let alone remorse. Even if you go apply for a job and you show such a condition within a certain time frame how long do you think you'll be there? They say employees are the employer's success which is true. God's love is Holy Love. God's unconditional love is graceful. We are told we are to love him above anything in this world and how can you do that if you can't obey him.
Now we have to make it clearer that it is known that there are things in this world that appear highly unfair. While some celebrities are living in fornication with let's say with five Ferrari's and 15 mansions around the world upholding all the fornication's that are against God and getting to enjoy this life style that is not of God but of the world that is massive rebellious filled with sin. Meanwhile you have somebody being persecuted for righteousness somewhere. 8:44 a.m. July 5 2022
The truth the way God sees it is not the way man sees it. God is Holy and he is not affected by our sins. The wages of sin is death regardless. Jesus often said repent or perish. The poor who have repented and are true believers will inherit the earth and do have a true inheritance.
