Did Elijah Ascend into heaven ? According to the Bible yes. Did Paul cause a commotion and even be put in jail because he rebuked/preached against places that were Idol worshipers and steeped in idolatry? Absolutely
Acts 19
28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
29 And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.
According to "2 Kings 2:3–9, Elisha (Eliseus) and "the sons of the prophets" knew beforehand that Elijah would one day be assumed into heaven. Elisha asked Elijah to "let a double portion" of Elijah's "spirit" be upon him. Elijah agreed, with the condition that Elisha would see him be "taken".
2 kings"
11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
Can grace be abused ? Absolutely and from research it is evident and here's the summary of one place
"If we abuse grace by sinning more when we think we have been covered by God’s gift of salvation, this is evidence we have not received grace at all."
What Does the Bible say about abusing God’s grace ?
"In summation, anytime we sin more, repent less, obey God less, have laws which promote societies with less morality, make void God’s commandments – anytime we disobey what the word of God actually says and we do this under the guise of grace, we are actually abusing grace."
I am not here to bring divisions with my true Brothers and Sisters in Christ especially my brothers and even the ones I haven't met yet. None of us are perfect but we're always learning and improving. Now let's talk about the Old Testament. Elijah the prophet was under the law in those days and it was a completely different process just the same as Isaiah the prophet. Today we're not under works/(law) but from that horrible phrase I never knew you on Judgement Day the Messiah seems to have a problem with people being Lawless even though they did wonderful works. You have a group whose humble and doesn't keep score and you have a group that wants to impress him with their works but they're considered Lawless. You knows it is written that God forbid that we don't abuse grace and also we hope that we don't trample the blood of Christ. But there is a master and he's the head of the branches. So I realize that in one of the verses in the Bible that a fellow made a statement or a point that prior to the specific verse no# it is written that if Christians keep sinning then they are like the devil because he's been sinning since the beginning. I'm often reminded about John 3:16 and to forgive others and then God will forgive us and to confess our sins and God will promptly forgive us. I do believe it is true that God did extend grace. All I am saying and he did say he gave us some "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." He also instructed us to love our neighbours as ourselves. When Street Preachers go out and preach and they have a certain amount of years of experience we don't condemn them and we give them do credit where due credit is due. 7:44 p.m July 14, 2022
