As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
Of the people that were not aborted that do have life there are those who experience trauma and were born disabled or with some disease even children having cancer. There are families that are poor and not necessarily because they want to be but they might not necessarily be blessed or even be under the curse of God. There are people because they made the wrong choices even their parents or their grandparents that are displaced such as orphans or people that were sold as children to some other family not that some of these people did not have a good chance at life. There are teenagers that did not grow up with their parents and they were troubled and involved in the wrong things. I know of one such person who passed away that I once met. And you hear the stories and it's very sad. Some of these people were biblically raised that I am referring to and still their outcome was not good.
Today I hear about teens carjacking and swarming which there have been reports in media lately. You hear about teens getting into arguments and losing their lives. People busy doing evil and criminals getting out almost scott free as reported. People fighting over custody and other horrible things. You see God has a way but it's a straight and narrow way but very few people listen. I truly loved music growing up but I realized even if one obtained recognition and celebrity status that might be looked at as success but God says be in the world but not of the world. The god of this world is not the God of the Bible. Oh yes he is the creator but the god of this world is the devil and the Bible tells us so, so you can't serve two masters. Now the reason for saying this is people take for granted their own lives. They don't know the day that they might perish and lose their Earthly life meanwhile they are indulged in a sea full of sins. When we say hell is real it truly is real and it is eternal. Jesus said what's it going to profit you to gain the world and to perish. The only thing that can save a human soul is the blood of Christ who died for the sins of the world at Calvary. John 3:16
So I wanted to have a look today at music and particularly lyrics. You know the Bible says condemn not for the measure you use will be used against you. That is conditional however. For instance the blues is a song genre and dance about your sorrows and some music glorifies the sins of the world and actually advertises alcohol and other toxins. Remember Christ said a man who looks back is not fit for the kingdom of heaven. Or not fit for the kingdom of God. A man who puts his hands on the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God. So let's take a look at some lyrics.
Before I start Talent can't save you. Just because a particular singer in the world has an incredible voice like Elvis Presley did or a group of musicians are incredibly talented like the Beatles that can't save you and this is only possible because of God. Looking at a Mona Lisa and being astonished at the artwork cannot save your soul but it can become an idol. Your talent could lead you to/into idolatry and eventually to hell. Look at the song Yesterday it's a very beautiful ballad and yet its glorifying over a memory. (Why return to your sorrows?) People long for yesterday but do they really long for Jesus? Have we really longed to repent of our sins. See some songs are a regurgitation of the past and see Apostle Peter said the dog has returned to his own vomit. Jesus came to give you an abundance of life and that is written in John 10:10.
Many times if you look at celebrity lives and I'm not singling them out because ordinary people have enough troubles their lives are shattered. Sometimes you have people growing rich in idolatry. (Adulation) Yet even some of these people are not very big names or known and they are successful. Many of them live rich lives and live in mansions and in a wealthy celebrity lifestyle. But the Bible warns about riches and about that type of life. You could end up losing your soul and while people are having a candle vigil over their memory that person might actually be in hell. This is the truth.
So that brings me to the topic Billy Joel had a song called the Piano Man. The piano is a very beautiful instrument and it's a challenge to learn to play it and there are very great players in this world and I don't condemn that I love the piano. But Billy Joel got that song and it's a hit when he was playing in a piano bar and that song became very famous. But in the end it is a celebration of people's misery that they go to a bar to drink and also to listen to The Piano Man playing a carnival but it is returning to one's own vomit. You have/must turn to Christ before you perish.

In my after notes you see people go see entertainment/entertainers such a celebrities at a concert to forget about their sorrows or go to a bar and drink alcohol and think and ponder their our lives but that does not heal them that only pushes them further away into damnation. Some of these people drive drunk and kill people after they leave that bar. Some of these entertainers are promoting sin and reaping profits from such a song but the song is telling a story. You can attach yourself to that but Jesus said man will not live on bread and water alone but by Every Idle Word that comes forth from the mouth of God. Songs have lyrics and they are words and what you put in you get out. A Christian cannot be holy by regurgitating such lyrics. It's a sad thing to read about such entertainers that get themselves into trouble and what they should do is turn to biblical Jesus as described in the King James Bible.
Success that leads to hell
Drowning your sorrows
Proverbs 26:11
