A sermon of reasoning in the day in which we live.

2 Timothy 3

3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves , covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God ;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts ,

The Oscar slap

This is one that most Christians might like to stay away from instead they would probably preach Christ crucified instead. Because this is something that is rather of the world and God does not see things the way the world sees things because he does not think like human beings. You see comedians use swearing and all evil Unholy words to be funny. Not to promote such shows but there was a time when comedians were funny without swearing. Although they reenact things of the flesh that are an Abomination to God such shows as "The Carol Burnett Show" are rare today. Although they have shows like Saturday Night Live even such shows could mock God and sometimes do. But sometimes seeing the comedy in some of their more none offensive skits could show us for example how politicians could be foolish. They do this in the show "The Five" where they examine things. They have another show on TV called The View where they discuss controversial subjects and it sometimes could go into the red. Before I get into the Oscar slap again I wanted to mention that.

So the Oscar slap recently Will Smith apologized which is admirable. He did the right thing and he reached out. The Bible says never avenge yourself because it belongs to God. Instead pray about it. It takes a man to admit he's wrong or he was in the wrong. Think about Jesus and I'm talking about biblical Jewish Jesus. ( Emmanuel ) called him names that you can't even imagine. They tempted him left and right and put thorns on his head. They gave him lashing after lashing. They nailed him to a cross thinking they were done with him but how wrong were they. It's really easy for us to take matters into our own hands. I remember they had a show with Charles Bronson about the vigilante. You see when we do this we just dis-obey God. If you are in the Navy or you are training to be a soldier then you have to listen to those in command but you also have prayer and you still could have a relationship with the Living God.

“He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts.  What is highly valued among men is detestable in God's sight ,” (Lk16: 15). May 15, 2016

You see the Oscars is a human way to present an (idol) award which is seen as an achievement for human effort in/for acting in a film. We humans have many different methods to reward people. They even have Music Awards. That highly gives them a boost in their career. Will Smith was still rewarded that night. I think the way I understand it is Chris Rock did not mean it the way it was taken. And so the whole thing got out of hand. But the Bible says man will not live on bread and water alone but by Every Idle Word that comes out of his tongue.( out of the mouth of God ) In fact the Bible says the power of life and death is in the tongue. In an argument it can cause bodily damage when somebody's  becoming aggressive. Christ came to give you an abundance of life. John 10:10

But what the Lord Jesus Christ meant as you have the power to send yourself to hell which is eternal separation from the Living God for eternity and end up in darkness which is really hell. You don't know the day that you might breathe your last breath and end up there. So many people take it for granted. On the other hand comedians that make money off profanity although they are using it for comedy the same as actors are agreeing to something that is an Abomination to the God that created them. Jesus said very few people find the way to his kingdom in their lifetime. Hell does exist whether we get into terms like Gahanna or other interpretations. Originally it was created for the devil and his angels but when human beings joined in the Rebellion well. Isaiah the prophet said it enlarges itself all the time. The only door is the true biblical unblemished Lamb of God Jesus Christ the son of the Living God. Salvation is in a person. Will Smith needs to pray more and think about his eternal destination. I think people should pray for him as well being true Christians. True Christians could learn from this and so could ordinary human beings those that are atheist or others.

I think one of the most irritating shocking and untasteful things is when you review court trials or sentencing and you have fighting in the courtroom. A while back I reviewed fighting in the government. In the government systems that these days they have online. What happened to communication where people could truly discuss something like human beings without getting upset. When we have to preach we could be bold but we should not be abusive. Matter of fact Jesus said be gentle as doves but Apostle Paul was bold where he had to be and even Jesus was bold when he had to be.

Who gave us the Bible?

God gave us the Bible. The God of Israel gave us the Bible. God is the God of Israel. The holy Prophets and the apostles all contributed to the Bible including Apostle Paul. There are many authors and scribes also helped. God has a huge hand in it. And even the Dead Sea Scrolls prove the Bible as well as archeology and countless testimonies. They have the saying that the Bible proves itself and it takes its own authority. There are people that heard about the Bible and might even own the Bible collecting dust but they are blind dumb regarding various translations and how they could be corrupt manuscripts. God tells us that many people are destroyed for lack of understanding. You know I Think Jesus made a statement that is given for some people to understand and other people to not understand. God does have an elect and a Remnant that he has always preserved throughout the decades. Some preachers say that people are too indulged/ engrossed in unending Bible studies instead of saving Souls. But the Bible says show yourselves approved by studying the word of God. The Bible also tells us salvation is by grace through faith and not by works that no man can or should boast.

What is success?

Jesus came to call sinners to repentance. Sin is a disease. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is everlasting life. John 3:16 praise the Lord everyday for praise belongs to the Lord. John 10:10 says it all. Christ came to give you an abundance of life. Look what Jesus said in Matthew 9:17

Matt. 19. [17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't listen to the naysayers who say it's impossible because with success you have to have a vision and a plan and you have to be focused in confidence to achieve the goal that you believe you will achieve. Even Tony Robbins gives great intuition on becoming successful. Although people put down president Donald Trump he is in essence a genius when it comes to such things. He wrote a book about it and he had that show "The Apprentice". So yes good instructors can teach people even when it comes to phys Ed. Even when it comes to diet and losing weight. And music as well. God tells us those who reject knowledge he will reject.

The age of the Earth.

God gets it right and never underestimate what is in the Bible which is about 6,000 years. It is not half a million years old or billions of years old. The universe probably isn't even that old. The size of the sun is unimaginable to the human brain and it has a function to give light. It is so complex that humans cannot even get close to it. The moon has a function. The Galaxies have a function. The great big bang did it really happen? What exploded and when things explode like a bomb that creates chaos. How do you get order out of Chaos? God spoke things into existence. God tells us in scripture where were you when I laid the foundations of the Earth. Just because people did not see it doesn't mean God didn't do it because he tells us he did it in scripture in the Book of Genesis. UFOs are not aliens from some other Galaxy system. They are demonic in nature. If you don't believe in God then you are truly in darkness. Faith goes a long way.

Your sins are naked before God

When you sin on Earth because God gave men free will it is exposed to God. Even if you don't believe in God all your sins are exposed and you one day if you die in your sins you will give an account for everything you ever did on Earth. And this might be hard to accept but you might make music that is vulgar or influences people to sin thinking that your legacy will be sustained forever. You might die in Earth and end up in hell while you still have scores of fans fighting over your legacy, your image on Earth including your siblings, your relatives and Friends to get a piece of what you left behind. In saying this I don't say it because I want to condemn everything. Through the biblical Lord Jesus Christ who came to call sinners to repentance and show them the real way many lives were changed including the apostles and many disciples. He took some of the most vile people in society and turn them into God's people. This is the real way to life. So you knowing that if you be a celebrity or in whatever capacity a person with money you need to ask yourself where are you going when you leave this planet and what Legacy are you leaving behind. Are you going to be a member of the True Body of Christ in grafted inn for eternity or are you going to be one of the ones that perish.

The truth is you could be decorated with Awards and with University degrees and have the appraise of men and none of that will save your soul. I am not condemning education. I think education is a gift in some cases. God is relationship and not religion. What does the Bible say about religion..

James 1:26-27

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain . 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world .

In my closing thousands of people die every day around the world while thousands of children are born into the world every day. Every year millions of people die around the Earth and very few people make it to eternal life. Nobody's promise another day. The Bible says this is the day the Lord made so rejoice and be glad in it. God doesn't change yesterday today and tomorrow. God has provided a graceful period although there are Wars on the Earth and there have been people dying not just by wars or murders but in plagues, the Earth is riddled with pestilences today and strange weather patterns. God's word tells us as Christians we are to live holy lives. Today people think nothing of taking God's name in vain and using profane babbling to do with holy things. Apostle Peter called them brute Beast made to be taken and destroyed. They will use the name holy and attach it to the word "sh***". One day they're going to stand before a holy God and give an account for their lives and unless they have been forgiven and have been repentful by their own words will they be condemned. This is a wake-up call. Ask yourself are you truly saved and have you read the Bible recently or is it collecting dust on your shelves somewhere. Do you have a relationship with the true holy living God? Do you stand against those things that are an Abomination to the true God or are you a hoarder sucking them in and you can't get enough? Do you murder people with your tongue? Do you drive drunk? Do you only care about you or do you love your neighbor as yourself? When was the last time you prayed and became part of the solution instead of part of the problem.

PS try to listen to the message of the preacher and what he's telling people because it is truly the truth.
