Dead in trespasses - Repent
What man in the Bible went to hell?
When both die, the rich man goes to Hell and implores Abraham to send Lazarus from his side in Heaven to warn the rich man's family from sharing his fate.
Rich man and Lazarus.
God rejected Saul as king..
How did Saul disobey God?
"While the Israelites were gathered to confirm Saul as their king, Samuel reproved them for ingratitude and exhorted them to follow the Lord. When threatened by a Philistine attack, Saul disobeyed the Lord by offer"
God also rejected Cain's sacrifice. I believe he accepted Abel's sacrifice offering.
"Apparently the rejection of Cain's offering was a public event. This made Cain angry and he did not repent. Rather he responded in anger against the Lord. The Lord said to Cain:"
If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at your door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it (Genesis 4:7).
Credited Blue Letter Bible last two paragraphs.
Remember Apostle Paul said that some people become sick because they miss used the Lord's Supper when they are in sin.
What did Paul say about the Lord's Supper?
"Paul attempted to correct the problem and promote social integration rather than divisiveness. The exegesis in chapters 5 and 6 suggests that the Lord's Supper as a rite was not intended to be a personal or social meal only for a special group, but a meal for the benefit and fellowship of the whole church."
God's word tells us that the flesh wars against the spirit. It also tells us that if any man or woman says they are without sin they make Christ a liar. I've heard a preacher preach on this and more than one actually. We have to seek the righteousness of the Lord and confess our sins and he is faithful to forgive us because he has mercy, extends his rich grace as long as we don't leave the faith altogether. 12:21 noon September 3 2022
I think attitude in my conclusion is important but also to learn from your trials and tribulations as much as possible. Peter said they are great and they teach you a lot. It's true. Faith goes a long way but putting your trust in the Lord is much more important to. To have some remorse or to be conscious and have a way to escape when you are tempted is important. Just like if you were to follow some safety procedure at work to avoid accidents. God knows we're not robots. God knows the heart.
Remember Christ said it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah then for Galilee or even he warned Chorazin of the day of judgment because the works that were done in them "they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes."
He did so many works there it's not funny, very serious and he was offended so he laid a curse on them. He talked about the people at the tower of Siloam and how they did not repent so they perished and that they weren't worse Sinners than those From Galilee. The Bible says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Many people believe he doesn't exist so they don't fear Him. But he does exist and Hell Is Real and it's impossible for God to lie. The Bible says to renew our thoughts. That a man or woman will ponder God's word day and night. They will hide a word of God in their heart. God is my rock, a shield and my fortress.
Psalm 18:2
King James Version
2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
You see once you truly believe your works are important but what is more important is your faith, trust and righteousness. Is he your master being the Lord Jesus Christ. He told us what distinguishes his disciples amongst others, his believers is they love. That doesn't mean they're not going to stand up and preach the truth amongst wolves because they are going to do so as they are commanded to do so. Recently it was preached that modern Christians believe Christianity is a bunch of do's and don'ts. The Bible is full of do's. But you're not a robot and God knows that. They have found a way to make the word of God to none effect. No we're not under the law and it would be impossible for any man to keep the law and that's what Christ did for us. He is the perfect sacrifice. He is the unblemished Lamb of God. He is the king of all kings and Lord of all Lords. Modern Christians also bring railing accusations against their brothers and sisters in Christ. I'm not talking about edification. Nor am I talking about determining what Paul's gospel is opposed to the prosperity Gospel or any other gospel some angel from heaven preached we have not received. Even angels don't bring railing accusations against us.
2 Peter 2:11
“Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.”
King James Version (KJV)
How can we love him if we show no remorse or we persist to obey him and call ourselves Christians. I'm not saying that we're perfect but there should be some form of forwardness growing in faith probably becoming more like him.
You can be in a life of crime for years to come and think in your mind that you will not get caught. Your ignorance has the best of you because you don't know that hell is real and it waits patiently. It's a very straight narrow door Pathway to go to heaven and very few people find the real way in their lifetime. You see while on Earth you are subject to being a human on earth. God has ordained the authorities so you are still subject to law. You could spend 30 40 years in jail and then die and end up spending forever and ever in hell which is a pain unbearable. If you could see it now he would never want to go there so you have to think and be wise and pick up a Bible and read it. If you can't afford to do the time don't do the crime. You see God's word tells us that people are destroyed for lack of understanding. It tells us they perish and that means they end up in hell absent from the light of God forever and ever. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so I plead with you to pick up a Bible and to start praying.
