The truth is God owns your spirit. God owns your soul as all souls belong to God. When you die the first physical death the body goes into the grave or in some cases it is cremated but the spirit returns on to God. Genesis 3:19 Ecclesiastic 12:7 What God does with it at that point is his business and he has the power to cast souls into hell. You immediately go to be with the Lord when you die if you were a true believer and you have not believed in vain and you are actually saved. 1 Corinthians 15:51 1 John 11:25 John 5:24 If not you will enter/ be cast hell and be a new arrival there. This is a horrible place absent from the true light of God for all of eternity. Now some believe death is asleep. Look what Daniel the Prophet says in Daniel 12:2 below. You know Christ often said repent or perish. Yes God is love but you got to get the right God and abominable sin coupled with sorcery and the unnatural use is not love but rebellion and rebellion as as witchcraft.

“And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

If you are an atheist you are an unbeliever and you are in sin and under God's judgment according to scripture. John 3:18 KJV Look what God says about your soul. " Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” Ezekiel 18:4 (KJV)

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

There will be a judgment and for those celebrities that say they are in love with sex and are having sex left and right out of wedlock are in for a big surprise if they were to suddenly die without true salvation & repentance. Revelation 20:15 Hebrews 9:27 See 2 Corinthians 5:10 is a stern warning you will give an account for your life on Earth. If you are living that type of life not saved because the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. Romans 6:23
