In a dark deceptive deceived world where can we find the truth that is often debated and even hidden as well people are mislead because we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities of evil in high places.
So for about 623 years we've had a physical tangible Bible to date. As they say the oldest Bible in the world is Codex Sinaiticus Petropolitanus, Oxford.
The book in question is Codex Sinaiticus, often referred to as the oldest Bible in the world. Here are nine things you should know about Codex Sinaiticus. 1) Codex Sinaiticus has been dated to the middle of the fourth century. 2) The book is handwritten in Greek by four different scribes. 9/3/2015. You could look up the article if you like.
"The Gutenberg Bible (also known as the 42-line Bible, the Mazarin Bible or the B42) was the earliest major book printed using mass-produced movable metal type in Europe. It marked the start of the "Gutenberg Revolution" and the age of printed books in the West. The book is valued and revered for its high aesthetic and artistic qualities[1] as well as its historical significance. It is an edition of the Latin Vulgate printed in the 1450s by Johannes Gutenberg in Mainz, in present-day Germany."
But in 1611 we got the King James Bible which of course is astonishing compounded remarkable and there's a history behind it. Now the sola scriptura I didn't really look into it too deeply prior but I just skimmed through it now. I am aware that it's written in scripture that it takes its own authority in various ways.
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
When was the Old Testament written?
The Old Testament: Various Schools of Authors.
"Starting around the 7th century B.C., different groups, or schools, of authors wrote them down at different times, before they were at some point (probably during the first century B.C.) combined into the single, multi-layered work we know today." Jul 17, 2020
"In the 14th century, Marsilius of Padua believed that the only authority for a Christian is the scriptures, instead of the pope. The same point was made by John Wycliffe who foreshadowed the sola scriptura doctrine in the 14th century."
Who is the author of sola scriptura?
Theologian Keith Mathison
"The Shape of Sola Scriptura is a 2001 book by Reformed Christian theologian Keith Mathison. Mathison traces the development of sola scriptura from the early church to the present. He views the Protestant Reformation as a time of recovery of the doctrine that had been under assault from the fourth century."
What is the sola scriptura principle? Sola Scriptura
"The 66-book Bible is the sole authority for Christians in faith, doctrine, and practice. Sola Scriptura acknowledges the facts that the Bible is the Word of God, inerrant, sufficient, without error, and the source of all truth." Jul 1, 2021
Which country printed the first Bible?
"Gutenberg Bible, also called 42-line Bible or Mazarin Bible, the first complete book extant in the West and one of the earliest printed from movable type, so called after its printer, Johannes Gutenberg, who completed it about 1455 working at Mainz, Germany." Jun 20, 2023
What is the oldest Bible in the world?
Codex Sinaiticus Petropolitanus, Oxford.
"The first book ever printed is Gutenberg's Bible in Latin. 1525: William Tyndale's New Testament translated from the Greek MSS; This is the first New Testament to be printed in the English language on the printing press." May 4, 2023
The oldest Bible in the world was it New Testament or old and here is the result.
"A correct description of the book would be that it contains the oldest surviving complete manuscript of the New Testament, together with sections of the Old Testament and books of the Apocrypha." Sep 3, 2015
It's important to know that true Christians know already that God is real and Christ is risen even though some people serve a Christ in which he is not. We have a helper and God is all knowing. We don't know everything in terms of Gods mind but we weren't there personally way back for centuries or before the first century but we know enough in terms he is risen and people are saved and most likely in heaven as well as hell too. So there were other important people that were probably saved and that lived very interesting lives back in the Old Testament time.. We know that we wrestle not against flesh and blood although there are people calling themselves Christians that don't know that and if they hear that they don't understand it but they might think they do. This is the way it is. God warns us that there are some things that are an abomination to him but people completely do them anyways. When it comes to music or Hard Rock or types of music that is Unholy even to talk about it seems like you're going against it and those people but you got to remember Satan was attracted to the things that humans are that are not profitable to God and that are actually an abomination. What we don't comprehend as God is Holy and all those things are going to be no more one day not even remembered. We know that the Earth isn't going to be here forever because scripture cannot be broken but it's going to be around for a while because I believe it's a thousand years after Christs reigns on Earth that it gets close to the end. But at the same time there's going to be a new heavens and earth and that probably means a new universe as well. See this article.
"Ephesians may have been written during Paul's first imprisonment in Rome, around A.D. 60–62 (see Guide to the Scriptures, “Pauline Epistles,” scriptures.lds.org)."
What was God's salvation in the Old Testament?
"The salvation of man was the same in the Old Testament as it is today. They were saved by grace through faith in Christ; the same as New Testament believers. They looked forward to the cross and we look back to the cross." Jan 25, 2020
I just went through this because people try to make the reference too the point that salvation is by keeping the law which is completely bogus. They also try to make the argument that it's perfectly fine to elevate the traditions of men over the authority of scripture and people debate this. God is sovereign and he is the one who owns the Earth but people don't believe this because people don't believe in God nor do they believe in Jesus. Some people profess to believe in Jesus but follow all the abominable things that he hates so what Jesus or who do they really believe in. People seem to put everything before God. I'm not talking about people out there with problems that are disabled or homeless but I'm referring to even students having the ability to read and to write and to study will probably have the Bible on the shelf collecting dust. A lot of people come to take a look the bible when they're incarcerated. Not everyone. Remember that some people that Christ reached were the tax collector, a lawyer, a prostitute and a samaritan woman, fisherman which he taught to catch real fish by making them fishers of men. Jesus Christ was born a Jewish person in Bethlehem but he lived in Jerusalem too and he had a three-year Ministry and he gave up his life at 33 years old. He died on the cross or on a tree for the sins of the world. John 3:16
