Do you abide in Christ or in wickedness? Do you claim to be a believer but do everything abominable? Have you examined yourself lately to see if you're in the faith?
If we have to accept that James is talking about salvation you know then it's not a free gift and you're going back under the law. God's will is that you believe in his only begotten son Jesus Christ of Nazareth. See Christian news for more update.
Beware counterfeit deceived believers
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God :
9 Not of works, lest any man should boas t.
I just want to retouch on I never knew you in the Bible for a moment and I covered this extensively. It is quite possible it's talking about work based religious people who are taught they have to do good works for their salvation. Matthew 7:21-23 It is a strong possibility these could be the leaders, maybe even followers of such religion that teaches works based salvation. So their faith and trust would have been in their works not in Christ and he's claiming not to know them and have never known them and that is pretty shocking. But at the same time we know they're claiming to be believers. Whether they cast out demons or not only God knows the truth. Most likely not if they do not have the kingdom of God. But when they realize they're in trouble they appear to plead for their soul but it doesn't work and he's not saying I love you you're forgiven. DONT DIE IN YOUR SINS BELIEVING LIES . So make sure you read the King James Bible all the verses who Christ truly is and you pray. Don't follow false teachers that will have you involved in idolatry and praying to anybody else but God no matter what the argument don't do it if it's not in the scripture. The our Father prayer is addressed to our father in Heaven remember that. Are you doing abominable things? Are you bowing before images and idols? Lots of people do this and they make excuses. Don't be caught doing abominable things because you will be in danger of the judgment even Hellfire.
Intern I want you to have a look at this blog listed below. There's confusion for some regarding the book of James because it tells us that faith without works is dead. Some Christians will tell you you don't have to do nothing once you're saved. Doesn't make sense because what kind of person would you be?
They will say you're not saved by doing good works and if anybody tells you to do they're legalist. But the Bible is full of does and don'ts. It tells us to be a doer of the word of God and if you're a doer and your good works comes through your salvation which is important then you do it in faith. If you love me keep my commandments. He's asking, he's not forcing you it's a choice. God's word tells us to seek his righteousness and Apostle Paul said if anybody teaches the works of the law they don't know what they're doing. We are not under the law. See on the day of judgment there are people claiming their good works and he seems to have a very serious problem with this. They're not his sheep and he doesn't recognize nor know them and in fact he never knew them which is very serious.
People are destroyed for lack of knowledge. In fact they reject knowledge. The Bible says lean not on your own understanding. So workers of iniquity are lawless individuals. There always working lawlessness in whatever they do that is sinful regardless. I caution you the Bible says do not grieve the Holy Ghost and this is extremely easy to do. People swim in such things and claim to be believers. The Bible instructs believers to study the scriptures and show themselves approved.
If you put yourself back under the law and you break one iota your not abiding at all because Christ did what we are unable to do for us. Can you keep the whole law without breaking one point? Virtually impossible.
We are not under the law only Christ was perfect and we have to seek his righteousness and lean not on our own understanding. Fact it is written by his stripes we are healed.
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
It is written by one man many be made righteous and so if this is in fact you you're thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Everything is made new and you have been forgiven your sins and you now walk with the Lord and you abide in him. Isaiah 1:18 John 15:4-5
