[12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Yes it's true and it's written that one day in a blink of an eye we will be changed and be caught up with the Lord the living and the dead. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 I believe the dead rise first. Some people know this as the rapture. There's all sorts of debate about the rapture pre-trip and all these things and Christ said not even the angels know when the time will be only God who is in heaven. But there are things that need to be accepted as truth because if you follow the wrong thing/doctrine/way and God tells you to come out of it and you disobey you will lose your soul. False teachers won't lead you to heaven but actually to hell and the Bible confirms this. You are not saved by doing good works he paid the price in full. Ephesians 2:8-9 John 3:16 Colossians 1:14 Your works do matter and will be tried in the fire especially once you are saved. Specifically, the rapture remember John was exiled to the island of Patmos and there in exile prison he wrote prophecy but he wasn't raptured.
"Patmos is now known internationally as the “Jerusalem of the Aegean,” or the “Island of the Apocalypse,” because this is where the Book of Revelation was written by Saint John"
Even Paul the Apostle wrote in jail. Incredible isn't it. God didn't beam them up and rapture them. Here's what Christ said. Not even John the Baptist.
15] I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. [16] They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world . [17] Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth . [18] As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
They became property eventually Saints of the living almighty God Jehovah of Israel.
John 10:28 Luke 6:13
Our Lord and savior sent them into the world to preach the gospel and he gave them instructions. You think they weren't scared. I'm sure they became bold and courageous but the task they had was not easy and they suffered greatly for it. Some of them were killed. Even Apostle Paul later went through such trials and tribulations. Even he was betrayed as Christ was but not in the manner Christ was.
The Earth is here for a purpose. It is not getting better but worse. To think we are more intelligent than people from other centuries or even from a few centuries before Christ is irrational thinking. We have invented great discoveries and knowledge has been increased for sure. But as human beings we are not becoming more righteous but unrighteous. It is just like the day of Noah. And in the day of Noah this righteous man was not getting off the boat to go watch some concert you know be entertained but the people were doing all these things just like they are today. In fact I heard that people lived longer lives centuries ago and disease probably wasn't as bad as it is today.
Now there have been extremely evil men in history and some of these people were either atheists or followed other gods. Some religious people. Jesus Christ was the greatest man that ever walked the face of the Earth. He was sheer perfect and his father was well pleased with him. But he himself said there's no one good but God who is in heaven. Think about it an apostle became a devil and an angel also became a devil. So many people suffered so we can have a Bible. See: William Tyndale. Christ died to keep you out of hell . He is the bread of life. Many believers were persecuted and are still persecuted because they believe in the real God/messiah. There's no other name given unto man in which he can find salvation but Jesus Christ of Nazareth the Jewish Rabbi. These people paved a way in a sense to speak. If you look at the world you could see it aligns with what is in scripture. Some of the Jews sacrificed/persecuted their own true Messiah and the Bible says when he appears there will be weeping. Revelation 1:7 Somehow within all the dilemma, within all the chaos around the world they want to wipe out Israel. The Bible says that the apostles disciples and believers will be hated. Matthew 24:9 They want to wipe out God to their own ignorance because that's his chosen Nation Israel. In a sense it's the apple of his eye and he tells us in scripture he's going to gather them at Armageddon. You can go study that if you like. The point is God tells us how to live and what righteousness is and he tells us they have all become unprofitable. When they knew God they did not glorify him as God but they became vain in their imaginations.
“ Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 kjv
I see people out there obsessed always on their cell phone or head phone's listening to something plugged in to everything but the Bible and that's what you need to study and to read. If you're disabled and you have trouble even reading you can listen online these days.In Romans 3:4 the basic meaning: " Just because someone is not faithful to God does not mean that God is not still faithful. Once again Paul appeals to the scriptures, which is what he is referring to when he says, as it is written ."
My appeal to you is to read the Bible if you can study God's word. Pray and call out to God to save a wretch like you before you end up perishing because it is appointed for man to die once and then the judgment and without Christ as your lord and savior you will certainly perish.
A Living Word cannot be broken. Sanctified in truth.
The Word of God is Spirit and it is Life
God's word is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
This is not to knock other Christians. We have to be willing to study and to challenge with reason to preach the truth.
