  I covered part of this topic in a blog . Lots of us have done bad things or stupid things especially when we're young. Testimonies is something Christians use and we all have our own. Some of them are intricate while others maybe even family members don't even know about them. Sometimes we lived a life of sin but we didn't see it as that. Not for myself referring to doing bad things as criminals but as fornicators storing up bad fruits.  You know living a nightlife or a life submitted to the flesh. I particularly left that life even when I wasn't a true believer but other things were still there because I was deceived. You know there are deceiving spirits in the world and until you know the true God who is not about religion but about relationship you're going to be falling for deception and not have understanding until perhaps you breathe your last breath and get the shock of your life thinking you were saved or going to heaven if you claim to be a believer of some sort. You need to open a Bible and read for yourself the words off the page which is a living word and know who Christ and God truly is because he is definitely not religion. Hebrews 4:12 KJV A lot of Bible people who study find that out pretty quickly. I remember I was in the dollar store once and a girl that whom it was obvious became a new true Christian that used to be probably religious was so upset that she came to the knowledge of the truth saying out loud she doesn't tolerate false religion . God must have opened her eyes. Amen. Why do you think she was so shocked? You are better equipped to live a righteous life according to God's standards. The truth is the world loves its own. I remember I had a friend who passed away and he would ridicule people that were successful in life like lawyers or others saying their people that work for titles. Christ turned some of these people into true believers saved changed life believers. He had some of his worst criticism for religious people saying how they lay heavy burdens on others but they themselves don't lift a finger keeping the doctrines and commandments of men laying aside the true commandments of God. People will go around and waste their life until one day they realize who Christ or God truly is. The thing is it should be done at the forefront before you waste your life. If you open a Bible and start reading and praying and seeking God you might be surprised that he exists but he's not found in religion. Bible believing church or biblical Christianity congregation to fellowship with other true believers. King James Bible recommended. God is forgiving and if you confess your sins putting your faith in trust in Jesus Christ of the Bible you can set your feet on the right path which is the narrow path. Don't listen to deceived atheists whom listen to nonsense but  look around the creation it glorifies God's workmanship. The Bible says the fool has said in their heart there is no God but God is the God of Israel and he is the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. Jesus in Hebrew his name is Yeshua and he is risen in glory. When you don't know him you will be on the wrong path. God is not religion remember that.
