James 4:4 We stock up and we live a life accustomed to the way of the world but God says this is not the way but the world refuses the truth and totally disobeys the true God not even knowing him or claiming to know him. We put our time and effort into a lot of nonsense and I remember one day it was put in my spirit as I had that thought none of this is of God and it was confirmed. But we can't accept it. On the other hand God is not a Pharisee. That doesn't change anyone. It's the true God that gives the increase where a person will change and conveniently learn the truth. It's not on their own merits. Effort is everything on our part also. I mean you seek and it leads somewhere because it shows you care. Every day is a new day and whatever is enslaving you, mastering you, whatever is enslavement you in sin you got to believe you can overcome it. You know that saying they put the cart before the horse it's so true. Sometimes people aren't scared to contend for the truth and sometimes they are depending on who it is. Sometimes they do it wrong and they give the vigor you know they cast their pearls before swine and the swine attacks them Unholy. Because in their hearts they're alienated from the true God and they've been manipulated by a deceiving spirit of darkness. They don't see the trees for the forest. So what do you expect from reprobates?

It's good to learn to have wisdom and to learn the Bible but what is it if you don't put it into action. If you weren't here there would be no need to put it into action unless you're in hell then it's all over. Christ is the way he's the truth and he is the life. He knew what was in the heart of man which is evil and darkness. He knew men hate the light and he knew that they despised him. But there was one Nicodemus that realized he must be from God because the things he did back then when he was on Earth physically no other man could do. It's a choice between righteousness and unrighteousness. It's a choice between deception and those that walk in the truth that the world rejects and can't accept or won't accept. Prayer is a choice but some people when they become true believers perhaps they might think it's all going to be laid out for me almost like they have no choices and nothing to do just sit and wait to be raptured out. The truth is a lot of people that God used were broken people and some of these people were despised of the world and hated to the bone. " and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: that no flesh should glory in his presence. " 1 Corinthians 1:28-29 KJV
You know in the book of Isaiah it tells us that Christ had no beauty and that he was a man of sorrow. It tells us that he was despised. It also tells us he had no comeliness not even any form. He wasn't the Hollywood image that Hollywood Jesus impressions give. He wasn't the '60s hippie Jesus either. He said his yoke is easy and his burden is light. He wasn't attached to sin the way humans are. He was the perfect Lamb of God and no man ever walked the face of the Earth like him. Yes the devil walks the face of the Earth but the devil is a rebellious prideful arrogant beautiful fallen Angel. And the devil has a lot of children. But particularly Christ wasn't always calm despite that he was who he was. For example when he got extremely angry at the religious elite perhaps with members of the Sanhedrin present. He called them a broad of vipers you know whitewashed tombs. Religious devils. Hypocrites as so many are today. " have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone ."
In terms of faith when our lord healed that crippled man that they lowered through the roof of the house he said.
23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
