He asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am ? What is the truth? Who is the son of man? Whom is Jesus Christ of Nazareth and what was his original Hebrew name? Have they changed his identity and do people worship a Christ that is far removed then whom he truly is? Is there deception in the world? Is Christ misrepresented? If God is the God of Israel and Christ went to a synagogue which they worshipped God in spirit and in truth in their time when they were obendiant before Christ was born Isaiah the prophet wrote about him in Isaiah 53 and I believe Moses wrote about him too what is truth? He would have the government on his shoulder, be despised and rejected and all the rest of it. Exactly what was written happened. He was hated without a cause. God sent his only begotten son to planet Earth and they couldn't phantom the religious elite that he was the son of a carpenter. The Pharisees were puzzled because he was so educated yet he was not learned and he even explained his knowledge came from God. His doctrine came from God just as apostle Paul was given doctrine as the New Testament apostle which is sealed by the way. Everything in his time and ministry that needed to be preached/taught was preached and scripture including prophecy did not come from men it came as holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost . Just like the prophet Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Elijah as well as others God gave them special gifts. We're told that salvation came onto the Gentiles to bring the jews to jealousy. In fact Christ told the Samaritan woman he would have gaven/gave her the living water not the water where she would thirst again. And look what he said about salvation. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews . John 4.22
What does it say in the book of Revelation that the devil deceives the whole world. How do you know what deception is if you don't know Christ nor you don't have a relationship with Christ and the father. How do you know what deception is if you don't study the Bible and show yourselves approved. How do you know what deception is if you don't study biblical history as well as human history and other areas that are relevant as a believer not to disclude prayer. You won't know instead of putting your trust solely in Christ's finished worked on/at the cross you'll be trendon territory that is a slippery slope where you may put your faith and trust in deception and even various denominations with doctrine that is far removed from the bible we already know this has occurred and people serve a very different messiah/Christ than what is written in scripture. Now people have covered this for a long time perhaps centuries now. I've covered this extensively too and so has David Lynn from Christ forgiveness ministries and other well gifted preachers. Former Christians with their own ministries like Ruben Israel also contended for the faith once delivered on to the Saints and did the work of ministry. So have other well-studied talented gifted Bible teachers/preachers too. I'm reminded quite often of John 10:10 including John 2:16 and every once in awhile reminded of John 3:16 put on my heart.
