You know as they say it's all faith and not works. Even if you were to see people burning in hell right now then that wouldn't change people because people would think it's a mirage. People doubt and if you don't have faith how will you come to Salvation? If they didn't believe Moses and the prophets how will they believe or be persuaded if somebody rose from the dead. People in these religious cults which they are that are told they have to do good works to earn their salvation in essence their trying to do exactly what Eve/Adam was told don't do including this atheist student. They're doing exactly what Adam and Eve were told don't do. Leaning on their own understanding and ignorance . And we know what's going to happen we even know that they deceived counterfeit Christians are proclaiming to be Christians on the day of judgment but they get rejected. They're leaning on their own understanding to earn their way into heaven this way they have no faith in Christ. They don't trust him and they're trusting in their own good works to save their soul. Many of them are also idol worshipers and so God says when they die the first physical death let their idols deliver their soul since he gave them over to a reprobate mind to do that which is inconvenient/unseemly but of course convenient to them because they are corrupt minds.

It's a good thing that this atheist student is asking a lot of questions that's what you should do. He doesn't know the Bible but it appears somebody is telling him about the Bible from what Cliffe can tell. So if I reject Jesus Christ what he said I'm going to hell. People cannot accept that. People that are not believers refuse that and he doesn't believe in Hell anyways. So he says to Cliffe why should I believe you and Cliffe says you shouldn't believe me you should go check for yourself. Go read the Gospels. Go read the Bible and check the evidence and the things Christ taught and the things he did what man does such things. Even on the cross they're crucifying him he says father forgive them for they know not what they do which is true. 

You need to read the Bible and watch who's telling you about the Bible because we have pagans so called Christians who are not Christians who do not know the Bible but they follow another Jesus and another god/spirit. You need to seek. Cry out to the biblical Hebrew on Earth Jesus Christ yourselves atheists and don't lean on your own understanding never do that.

After notes: He the atheist student was encouraged by Cliffe that he needs wisdom. There are fallen angels and Satan is also a fallen cherubim angel. You must be born again which is a true process. This is a spiritual process and it doesn't come from pagan religion it's real and it can't be real if God wasn't real because God is real. Solomon in his great wisdom realized the whole duty of man in the end was not to be a world sucking hypocrite but when you die you bring nothing with you but your soul. He realized the whole duty of man is to obey God. In the end when it's all said and done Satan will have failed his kingdom is temporary while Christs kingdom is forever eternal and one day there will be a new heaven and a new Earth. God will walk among the people wiping all the tears away. They'll be a day that everybody that exists will be without doubt hopefully it's not the great day of the Lord. Since the scriptures tell us things are only a shadow of what is to come that means we have to always lean on God's understanding/teaching and on God's will. God's will be done.
