I believe if God knew that was the case with people he wouldn't have saved them because it's the holy ghost that does the grafting them in to his Temple.. body of believers. Then you would be a true Christian trampling underfoot the son of God and the scriptures warn about that in Hebrews 10.29. When a person is without understanding and they are lost and not saved they can go live their life take drugs, live un holy, even follow many false religions die and end up in hell even without believing in Hell or Christ their still accountable.
