Terry Fox (1958–1981) was a Canadian humanitarian, athlete, and cancer research activist who launched the 1980 " Marathon of Hope ." After losing his right leg to osteogenic sarcoma at age 18, he ran 5,373 km over 143 days with a prosthetic leg to raise funds, becoming an enduring national hero.

There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
"Yes, Terry Fox was a professing Christian who attended a Baptist church and read the Bible, particularly during his Marathon of Hope, which was influenced by his faith. While some accounts note he was not overtly evangelical, he was a self-professed Christian who experienced a renewed faith about six months before his 1980 run, believing that his life was in God's hands."
"Terry Fox ran his Marathon of Hope in 1980 . He began his journey on April 12, 1980 , in St. John's, Newfoundland, and was forced to stop on September 1, 1980 , near Thunder Bay, Ontario, after 143 days and 5,373 kilometers (3,339 miles)."
In the early eighties I was a young man very young working construction and became a supervisory eventually. It was really hard work and I remember following the Terry Fox story and the running it was all over the news. I was going to clubs on the weekends when I wasn't working with my friends living a life of a false Christian that sort of life. I had a limited understanding of scripture although I did read some scripture from time to time but I was also very much into music. Had little understanding of who God was/is at that time like a lot of people that are deceived but think that they are Christians and it's those people on the day of judgment Christ tells them he never knew them they are workers of iniquity that means they are working at sin not at minimizing it or getting rid of it but they are swimming in it. Most likely self-righteous work-based gospel counterfeit believers.
But I couldn't have understood Terry Fox from Winnipeg I believe that's where Burton Cummings is from. Perhaps Randy Backman as well. I'm surprised to learn that Terry was a Christian and had a renewed faith. Did he really know Jesus the real one? It could appear he probably did but that doesn't mean he really did. Now we can't wait until dire straits happens we must love the truth and seek the truth before it's too late and we lose our soul. We are without excuse according to the holy scriptures and yes Christ is real. Because of what Terry Fox did he raised millions and now cancer 70 plus percent can be cured and is no longer a death sentence for many. When Jesus Christ said to love each other I believe he was talking to the Saints the believers so don't take that out of context. Some say it's the remaining 11 disciples. Still regardless you should love each other always because love covers many sins. Some people it's hard to love them because they are reprobates and they are toxic and when you become a true believer you notice things and you realize why it is written to rebuke with long suffering. Evil people take Christ's name in vain like running tap water. They take God's name in vain like running tap water and he's the God who gave people their soul. If you weren't aborted at birth you're fortunate. A lot of babies are destroyed in the womb as they are aborted. There's no gain in fornication because you die once and then the judgment. If you fail the ultimate test you most likely will lose your soul. You are encouraged to read the Bible and get to know and have a relationship with the God of the Bible Jesus Christ of Nazareth ASAP.
Never forget what Christ did for you so keep the gospel in mind always.
I did read the article regarding Cynthia Mulligan and how the cancer came back that was cured and she has young children that are older now and she is fortunate that she made it all this time. She can thank Terry Fox for sure and people like him also people that donate large amounts of money over the centuries and people who put their time into this horrible disease. The other thing is you know you read about all those trips to heaven and people like Justin Peters tries to get to the bottom of them. Christ did cure people and raised people from the dead you can be assured it's true. There have been unexplained rare people being cured of things that are impossible. So yes God is real but most people don't know God and they follow many false gods and they deny the sacrifice of Christ on the cross at Calvary and they put God last they don't even seek for him/GOD and then when things come to dire strait all of a sudden they expect miracles.
Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Terry Fox. We don't know if he went to heaven only God knows that but we sure don't desire that he went to hell. He did believe In Christ and he put others before himself which is a hopeful sign. Since nobody knows tomorrow as written it's important that people open up a Bible and seek for the real God because he is real Christ is real and he is risen and he died for the sins of the world. John 3:16
Just like you have a lot of Hazards and all these diseases on Earth and then you have the dangerous species of animals and insects and there is life and death on Earth we also have demonic entities that exist that you can't see with your eyes but if you do certain things as people do on Earth they are indulging in things that are very dangerous. The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob tells us in scripture things not to do but humans don't listen and they also indulge themselves in witchcraft even seeking unfamiliar spirits. We have devil worshipers on Earth and yet people desire to be cured. They put God last the real God and they prop up false gods and then they expect miracles this is why the truth is important you must be sanctified in the truth . God tells us people are destroyed because they lack knowledge. They reject knowledge & TRUTH.
