The human Spirit without God is void of holiness. We are born sinners in a fallen world in a fallen state and the living risen Jesus came to give you an abundance of life. John 10:10 human beings by Nature are on the way to hell. Take the lifeline because the wages of sin is death. When you die the first death you might pay for all of eternity. God has provided Grace if you accept his son and repent of your sins.
