I am a disabled minister with 40 years full time service for my Lord. I am a Licensed and Ordained Minister of Southern Baptist Faith. I have an Associates degree from Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama. and attended Baptist Bible Institute in Graceville, Florida (Majored in Theology with a Minor in Music). The name of the college has changed to Florida Baptist College. I have served 12 Churches in my 35 years of service. I served 11 as Minister of Music and Youth Pastor, and I also pastored one church for 4 years. I became disabled in 2006 at the age of 56 years old. I was prescribe a power chair in 2009 to get around in and it was then that I felt led to start a new ministry with Cds. My voice is about the only part of my body left that is any good, so I started recording Cds as a tool to witness for my Lord. Here is a link to JB's Indie Gospel Top Chart Radio Show that I appeared as guest on Marsha Sue Mitchell's radio program, GET MY CD's at this link. ALL I ASK IS A DONATION TO HELP WITH THE EXPENSES OF MAKING THEM. IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD A DONATION, I WILL SEND THE ONE YOU WANT ANYWAY. WHEN YOU GET IN THIS LINK, GO TO "ORDER CD's AND FILL OUT THE ORDER FORM LEAVING YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! My favorite verse is 2 Cor 5:17 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. KJV.

Job 13:15-18
15 Though he slay me , yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.

17 Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.

18 Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified. KJV

Sometimes we don’t understand the whys of our lives, and yet we can still trust and believe in Jehovah God. Job had the right attitude even in his trials and tribulation. I have read a lot about Job through these last years few years. In times when I couldn’t understand the road I was on, or where God was leading. Friends, when you get to that point in your life remember what Job said to God. 15 Though he slay me , yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. He trusted God even if God would kill him. How many times have we sat down, Bible opened, and head bowed, with our hands folded before His presence seeking His direction in our lives. We had gotten to a point where we were thinking, “OK, Lord, if this is where I go home to be with you, I trust you with everything. My life, my death, my soul, it’s all yours, do with me as you desire.

In 2008, I sat at the edge of death because of cancer. I was facing major surgery for a type of cancer that was so rare that they didn’t, and still don’t have a Chemo treatment for it. My only hope was if the surgeon could get it all, and then I was told there was a 95% chance of it coming back in 5 years. At the same time, my brother’s youngest daughter was battling liver cancer at the young age of 35. She was a beautiful young lady with everything to live for. Here I am 58 years old with a cripple broken down body, no good for much at all. Yet we were both facing possible death at the dreaded disease cancer. Before I went into surgery that day in August of 2008, I pray, “Lord, please take me and leave Stephanie. She has so much to live for, and I am no good to you in the shape I am in. Please, Please, Lord, save Stephanie’s life.”

I went into surgery that day, and after 2 and a half hours of surgery, and 6 hours in recovery, the doctor came in and told me that he thought he got it all, but the reports they sent off would tell the tale. When those reports came back it didn’t show anymore cancer. I took many weeks of radiation, and then 3 years later (August of 2011), I had my yearly Pet Scan (scanning for cancer) and it show no cancer. I still have 2 years of the 5 years that I was told it had a 95% chance of returning. But, I'm still cancer free.

We lost my niece, Stephanie, to liver cancer in November of 2008. I was so broken hearted, and felt so guilty because I was still alive, and a beautiful young lady that held a master’s degree in computer program writing, and wrote most of the programs for the University of Alabama Birmingham’s hospital and medical computers, and was working on her doctorate degree in that field, had been taken from this life. I cried and cried, and I was a little angry at God because I wanted Him to take me and let her live.

After a little while I received a Prescription for my power chair, and I began seeking God as to what He wanted me to do. I was left here for some reason. When I found out that I could get around and do stuff that I couldn’t do before the chair, I began to work on my music, and recorded 3 new Cds, and felt the leadership of the Lord into a new ministry. Then I found Indi Gospel Artist on the Internet. I had tried several other places, but it just didn’t feel right. From day one here on Indi it was different, I felt the presence of God, and the Spirit of Indi agreed with my Spirit. By the way that is my gift from God, trying the Spirits. Within my personal Bible studies God began speaking to me to write down what he gave me in those studies. As I did that and posted them here on Indi, I began hearing from people around the world, and I was reaching further out than any time in my previous 35 years as a full time minister for God. I began corresponding with Ken Rich the founder of Indi, and I found out that he had a heart of God, and God’s work for this world, and those that needed to hear God’s word.

Job Chapter 13 verse 16 through 18 says:

16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.

17 Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.

18 Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified. KJV

Friends, even in times when we may not know the ending or even the direction, Jehovah God knows, and all we have to do is trust in His leadership. That means sometimes walking through doors that we don’t know where they go. Trusting completely in God, for the Lord is our salvation. I still can’t tell you why God took my niece that we all loved and wanted to live, and then allowed me to live, but God knows the answer. Stephanie was a child of God. One thing that bestowed in all of my family by our mother and dad was our faith, and we shared that faith with our children so that they know the ways of God. I think maybe God had something for Stephanie to do in Heaven, and I believe there is something He still wants me to do here. With the help of Ken Rich I am dedicated to that task. If I reach a soul through my singing, that's great, if I can reached souls through my articles that is also great. I pray that when it is time for me to go to be with Jesus that I am witnessing for Him with my last breath.

One of my favorite song writers is Gerald Crabb, and he wrote a song entitled “Please Forgive Me.” I found this video from The Gaither Homecomings, and Jason Crabb (Gerald’s son) sang this song. In this video Michael English (sings with the Gaither Vocal Band) talks about his illness and the time he has had to take off for healing. Friend this is why I love Christianity and our friends in Christ, because in time of need we are there for one another in prayer.

I know it isn’t easy to serve in a world that is so unforgiving and evil, but my LORD is able to carry us through the fires, and trials, and tribulations we face if we depend on Him like Job did.

“Thank You Lord for being there for us, and thank you for giving us Christian friends. Help us to do your work without hesitation, and step out in faith believing in you. Lord, as Job said, “15 Though he slay me , yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. “ KJV Please help us to get YOUR MESSAGE to a lost and dying world. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.”

Here is the link to that testimony by Michael English, please watch it in it’s entirety.
