"YOU MUST BE A BELIEVER" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

                                                              YOU MUST BE  A BELIEVER

DO YOU BELIEVE IN GOD'S WORD?  HAVING FAITH TO BELIEVE IS THE FOUNDATION OF SALVATION.  WE MUST HAVE FAITH TO BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS, WAS BURIED AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD.  WE ALL HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE SAME MEASURE OF FAITH (ROMANS 12:3) BUT SOME DON'T USE THEIRS TO ITS FULLEST POTENTIAL.  JESUS TALKED A LOT ABOUT BELIEVING.  I AM...

"EXERCISE YOUR SOUL" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

Our spirit is not our problem. The born-again Christian receives a new spirit at conversion, that is just like Jesus' (1 Jn. 4:17) because it is the Spirit of Jesus. Our born-again spirit is always willing to do God's will. It's our flesh that is the problem.

The flesh, as Jesus describes it here, not only includes our physical body but also describes our soul. God has given every believer everything it takes to walk in victory, but "we have this treasure in earthen vessels" (2 Cor. 4:7). That is saying that our spirit, where God has deposited all of His power and glory, is locked inside our flesh.

That does not mean that we cannot tap into this divine source. As much as we will renew our minds and act on the Word of God, we can experience this divine...

"YOU HAVE IT ALL -- IN THE SPIRIT" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

The Bible presents salvation as a life transforming experience. Change is one of the distinguishing characteristics of a true believer. Yet, failure to understand that this change takes place in the spirit first, and then is reflected in our outward appearance through our thoughts and actions in direct proportion to the way we renew our minds, causes much confusion.

This change has to take place in our born-again spirit first. Why is that? If you were fat before you got saved, you will be fat after you get saved, unless you go on a weight loss program. Your body doesn't instantly change and neither does your soul or mind.

It is your spirit that is instantly changed at salvation. It is perfect (Heb. 12:23). It cannot sin (1 Jn. 3:9). Everything that is...

"YOU CAN ACCEPT JESUS RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

YOU CAN ACCEPT JESUS RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE

I TRY TO GIVE THIS MESSAGE A COUPLE OF TIMES A YEAR BECAUSE IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT THIS SO IF YOU HAVE HEARD ONE OF MY MESSAGES ON THIS, PLEASE JUST PRAY THAT SOMEONE WILL UNDERSTAND AND RECEIVE JESUS.

I KNOW THERE ARE YOUNG PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT ARE STRUGGLING WITH SALVATION. WHAT I MEAN IS THAT YOU KNOW YOU NEED TO ACCEPT JESUS BUT YOU ARE AFRAID TO STEP OUT IN THE ISLE AT CHURCH AND GO DOWN FRONT TO THE ALTER.  I KNOW BECAUSE WHEN I WAS YOUNG, THAT WAS ME. I LOVED JESUS SO MUCH AND WANTED HIM AS MY SAVIOR BUT THOUGH I HAD TO BE IN A CHURCH TO DO IT.

"DON'T BE DECEIVED" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

                                                      DON'T BE DECEIVED

HAS THE DEVIL EVER PUT DOUBTS IN YOUR MIND ABOUT WHETHER THE BIBLE IS THE TRUE WORD OF GOD?  HOW ABOUT WHETHER YOU ARE REALLY BORN AGAIN?  I HAVE HEARD PEOPLE SAY THEY HAD TO ASK FORGIVENESS FOR THINKING THESE THINGS.  I DON'T BELIEVE THAT IS NECESSARY.  HE WILL PUT MANY THINGS IN YOUR MIND BUT IF YOU DON'T ACT ON THEM, I DON'T BELIEVE IT IS A SIN.  WHEN SATAN TEMPTED EVE WITH THE APPLE, THAT WAS NOT A SIN.  THE SIN CAME WHEN SHE ACTED ON IT AND TOOK A BITE.  WHAT A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE IS THAT ADAM WAS RIGHT...
"CHOOSE TO FOCUS ON ALL THAT IS GOOD" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Mark 14:38 "Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak."

Temptation is linked directly to what we think upon (Heb. 11:15). Temptation has to be entered into. We can avoid temptation by avoiding thoughts that generate temptation (Prov. 23:7). Since it is impossible to not think, we cannot just try to reject the negative thoughts in this world, but we must choose to think on the positive truths of God. This is where prayer comes in.

In prayer, we have our minds stayed upon God and therefore, are not receptive to thoughts that conceive temptation. Temptation or sin must be conceived (Jas. 1:14-15). In the physical realm, the easiest way to avoid an unwanted birth is to avoid conception, so it is in the spiritual world.

It is easier to avoid being tempted by being in constant communion with God, than it is to overcome...

"WE NEED TO WALK IN FAITH" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

"WE NEED TO WALK IN FAITH" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

WE NEED TO WALK IN FAITH

GALATIANS 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  I LOVE THIS VERSE.  WE USUALLY SAY THAT WE LIVE BY THE FAITH "IN" JESUS BUT PAUL PUTS IT DIFFERENCE HERE WHEN HE SAYS HE LIVES BY THE FAITH "OF" JESUS.  HE WAS USING THE FAITH OF JESUS FOR WHAT JESUS HAD ALREADY DONE.  PAUL GOT THIS FAITH THE SAME PLACE WE GET IT....

"HIS FATHOMLESS PAIN" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"HIS FATHOMLESS PAIN" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Luke 22:44 "And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground."

LUKE 22:43-44

It is interesting that Luke is the only one of the gospel writers to mention that Jesus' sweat was as great drops of blood. This is probably because Luke was a physician (Col. 4:14), and therefore, this had special significance to him.

There have been documented cases of people actually sweating drops of blood under extreme emotional pressure. This might explain why Luke is the only writer to mention the angel strengthening Jesus. Just as when Jesus encountered Satan during His forty days of fasting and temptation in the wilderness and the angels ministered unto Him (Mk. 1:13), so here, He needed supernatural strength to endure His sufferings.

The use of the words "as it were" might also mean that the sweat of Jesus was...

"NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

                                                NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD

HAVE YOU HEARD SOMEONE SAY, "THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE"? WELL, THEY EVIDENTLY HAVE NOT READ LUKE 1:37 WHERE IT SAYS "For with God nothing shall be impossible." THERE IS AN EXCEPTION TO THIS AND IT IS UNBELIEF. LOOK WHAT JESUS SAID IN MATTHEW 17:20 "Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." EVEN JESUS, WHEN HE WAS IN HIS OWN TOWN, WAS NOT ABLE TO DO THE THINGS HE WANTED TO DO. (MATTHEW 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief." YOU MUST BELIEVE.

"HE IS OUR ABBA" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

"HE IS OUR ABBA" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Mark 14:36 "And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt."

Although God was referred to as our Father in the Old Testament, Jesus' frequent use of this title brought a whole new understanding of our relationship with God. Jesus referred to God as His Father, and He spoke of God as being our Father as well. This infuriated the religious Jews of Jesus' day who considered it blasphemy to call God their Father, because they understood that to mean they were equal with God.

We are instructed to call God our Father, revealing the kind, gentle, loving nature of our God. The term "Abba" is an affectionate term that a young child calls his father, which corresponds to our term "daddy." It is a term used to express intimacy and affectionate fondness. It removes the idea of God as a strict judge...
