"CURSING OR USING BAD LANGUAGE" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

CURSING OR USING BAD LANGUAGE

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED IF CURSING OR USING BAD WORDS IS A SIN? THE BIBLE SAYS IT IS IN SEVERAL PLACES.  LET'S LOOK AT A COUPLE.  EPHESIANS 4:29 SAYS "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."   AND, 1ST PETER 4:10 SAYS "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."

I THINK JAMES 3:9-12 SUMS IT UP PRETTY...

"TEST THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Test The Gifts Of The Spirit

Luke 22:13 'And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.'

When a true gift of the Spirit is in operation, things will always be as the Lord has said (an exception to this is if there are conditions to meet).

This is the ultimate test of whether or not someone's words are God-inspired (Dt. 18:22).

We cannot be led by just our own feelings concerning the gifts of the Spirit.

In 1 Corinthians chapter 12, the apostle Paul gives us direction governing the use of spiritual gifts that must supersede any urge or leading that we feel.

The first test to apply to any gift of the Spirit is to ask, 'Does it glorify Jesus?' That's the point Paul is making. The Holy Spirit will...

"RESIST THE TEMPTATION OF SIN" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Resist The Temptation Of Sin

Luke 22:3 'Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.'

Some people have speculated that Judas betrayed Jesus in an effort to force Jesus into a confrontation with the Roman government. Then He would have to use His supernatural power in self-defense and overthrow the Romans, thereby giving independence back to the nation of Israel.

This idea is based mainly on the response of Judas when he saw that Jesus was condemned. Judas 'repented himself' (Mt. 27:3), implying that the condemnation of Jesus was never his intent. However, scripture does not endow Judas with noble (even if misdirected) virtues. He was simply a thief.

This verse makes it very clear that Satan entered into...

"JUDAS, THE BANKER" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

JUDAS, THE BANKER

I COULDN'T FIND ANY INFORMATION ABOUT JUDAS, THE ONE WHO BETRAYED JESUS, OTHER THAN WHAT WAS IN THE BIBLE, BUT DID YOU KNOW HE WAS A BANKER.  IT DOESN'T CALL HIM THAT IN THE BIBLE BUT IT SAYS HE WAS THE KEEPER OF THE BAG.  THE BAG WAS THE MONEY JESUS AND THE DISCIPLES USED IN THEIR MINISTRY AND TO HELP THE POOR. I CALL THAT A BANKER.

ALTHOUGH THE BIBLE SAYS THAT SOME OF THE MONEY WAS TO HELP THE POOR, JOHN TELLS US THAT JUDAS CARED NOTHING FOR THE POOR BUT HE JUST WANTED THE MONEY THAT WAS IN THE BAG.  WHEN MARY, LAZERAS' SISTER, ANOINTED...

"ESCAPE CONDEMNATION" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

Escape Condemnation

Matthew 26:2 'Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.'

In Israel, crucifixion was a common sight. This practice was first mentioned in scripture as one used by the Egyptians (Gen. 40:19). Anyone hung upon a tree was accursed by God according to the Mosaic law (Dt. 21:22-23).

Failure to obey the law brought on the curse. Praise God that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by bearing the curse for us. Now, through Christ, we will never receive any curse from God even though we still disobey the law in some way. Justice was satisfied when Jesus died for the law that we broke, thus paying the prescribed penalty and bearing the curse.

There is no...

PREPARE FOR YOUR FUTURE

THE ECONOMY WAS GREAT UNTIL THE VIRUS AND THEN THINGS WENT TO HELL FAST.  WITH PLACES BEING CLOSED, A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HURTING.  CREDITORS HOUNDING PEOPLE EVERY DAY FOR THEIR MONEY IS NOT A GOOD FEELING.  WELL I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THAT A FEW TIMES IN MY LIFETIME AND I CAN TELL YOU IT IS NOT FUN AS YOU HAVE FOUND OUT.  THAT IS WHY I AM WRITING ON THIS AGAIN IN HOPES IT WILL HELP SOMEONE, YOUNG OR OLD.

I WOULD LIKE TO WRITE THIS MOSTLY TO THE YOUNGER GENERATION OUT THERE. BE A GOOD STEWARD OF YOUR MONEY. FIRST OF ALL TITHE. TEN PERCENT OF THE MONEY YOU MAKE IS THE LORDS.  I CANNOT FIND...

"ASK FOR YOUR MIRACLE" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

ASK FOR YOUR MIRACLE

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN ASKED IF THE MIRACLES IN THE BIBLE ARE REALLY TRUE?  I BELIEVE THEY ARE TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY BUT I ALSO BELIEVE THERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF SYMBOLISM IN THE BIBLE LIKE IN PSALM 17:8 WHERE DAVID SAYS TO GOD, "Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings".  WE ARE NOT REALLY APPLES IN GOD'S EYES AND I DON'T BELIEVE GOD HAS WINGS BUT THE MIRACLES ARE NOT SYMBOLIC AND THEY SERVE A PURPOSE TO DO SOMETHING THAT COULD NOT BE DONE IN ANY OTHER WAY.

TO START THINGS OFF, LET'S LOOK AT THE PLAGUES ON EGYPT.  IF THE PLAGUES NEVER HAPPENED, WHY WOULD PHARAOH LET THE ISRAELITES GO?  HOW ABOUT THE PARTING OF THE RED SEA WHERE PHARAOH AND A LOT OF HIS ARMY DROWNED?  IF THIS DID NOT HAPPEN, DID THE ISRAELITES REALLY LEAVE EGYPT?  DID...

"MINISTER GOD'S LOVE" BY ANDREW WOMMACK

MINISTER GOD'S LOVE

Luke 19:8 "And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold."

LUKE 19:1-8

Zacchaeus was rich but Jesus made no demands for him to give away all his goods to the poor as He did with the rich young ruler. Zacchaeus had already repented and money was no longer his god, as was revealed by his actions. It seems that Zacchaeus was going above and beyond the requirement of restitution as stated in Mosaic law by offering to give half of his goods to the poor and to repay...

FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW THE ALMIGHTY GOD COULD LIVE INSIDE US? 2ND CHRONICLES SAYS THAT THE HEAVENS COULD NOT CONTAIN HIM. (2ND CHRONICLES 6:18 But will God in very deed dwell with...

Follow The Leading Of The Holy Spirit

Matthew 25:14 'For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.'

The parable of the talents continues the theme of being ready for the Lord's return, but it also makes a strong point that we are accountable to the Lord for the gifts He has given us. The Lord intends us to use these gifts to further His kingdom - not keep them hidden.

This parable also shows the Lord dealing with His servants according to their own individual gifts and abilities. The servants who doubled their Lord's money were praised equally, even though one had produced two and one-half times as much revenue for His Lord than the other. Every man's work shall be...
