BELIEVE AND RECEIVE
BELIEVING IS ONE OF THE MAIN THEMES OF THE BIBLE AND WE MUST BELIEVE TO RECEIVE. HOW CAN A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN NOT BELIEVE IN ALL OF GOD'S WORD AND SOME OF THEM DON'T. THEY WANT TO PICK AND CHOOSES THE THINGS THEY WANT TO BELIEVE. YOU JUST CAN'T DO THAT. THE BIBLE IS ALL TRUE FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION AND THOSE WHO DON'T BELIEVE IT ARE IN TROUBLE. 2ND TIMOTHY 3:16-17 CLEARLY POINTS THIS OUT THAT "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." ALL SCRIPTURE, NOT JUST WHAT YOU WANT TO BELIEVE.
I LOVE THE STORIES ABOUT THE RULER OF THE SYNAGOGUE COMING TO JESUS BECAUSE HIS DAUGHTER HAD DIED AND THE WOMAN WITH THE ISSUE OF BLOOD WHO TOUCHED JESUS' GARMENT. THESE SHOW TRUE FAITH AND BELIEF. JESUS TOLD THE RULER TO "only believe" AND THE WOMAN THAT "thy faith hath made thee whole". WHAT POWERFUL WORDS. DID YOU KNOW THAT THE WORD "BELIEVE" APPEARS 124 TIMES IN THE NEW TESTAMENT (KJV) AND THE WORD "FAITH" APPEARS 249 TIMES.
DID YOU KNOW THAT IF YOU HAVE FAITH TO BELIEVE GOD'S WORD, HE WILL REWARD YOU? LOOK WHAT YOUR REWARD WAS WHEN YOU HAD FAITH TO BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED FOR YOU. THAT WAS THE GREATEST REWARD EVER. LOOK AT HEBREWS 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. THE KEY WORDS ARE "FAITH", "BELIEVE" AND "SEEK".. IS THIS YOU?
IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF ANYTHING, JUST ASK YOURSELF THIS, "DO I HAVE FAITH TO BELIEVE AND AM I SEEKING GOD FIRST"? IN MATTHEW 6:31-33 JESUS TELLS US WHAT WE NEED TO DO WHEN HE SAID "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek
for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." JESUS ALSO SAYS IN JOHN 15:16 THAT "that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." ALTHOUGH HE KNOWS WHAT WE NEED, HE SAYS TO ASK. SO, WHY AREN'T YOU ASKING? IF YOU ARE BELIEVING AND SEEKING GOD FIRST, YOU SHOULD BE RECEIVING. JUST ASK.
