ANGELS
DO YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT ANGELS ARE AND HOW THEY RELATE TO YOUR LIFE? THERE IS A LOT SAID ABOUT ANGELS IN THE BIBLE BUT I LIKE PSALM 91:9-12 WHERE IT TELLS US WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF WE LET THE LORD INHABIT US . "Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone." JESUS EVEN QUOTED PARTS OF THIS VERSE WHEN THE DEVIL WAS TEMPTING HIM. THE BIG QUESTION IN, "ARE YOU LETTING THE LORD INHABIT YOU?"
HEBREWS 1:13-14 TELLS US EXACTLY WHAT ANGELS ARE, "But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" THIS IS TALKING ABOUT US CHRISTIANS BECAUSE WE ARE THE HEIRS OF SALVATION. THAT IS SOMETHING TO SHOUT ABOUT.
WHEN WE READ THE ABOVE VERSES, WE MOST ALWAYS THINK OF OURSELVES BUT THERE IS ANOTHER SIDE TO THIS. LOOK WHAT MATTHEW 18:10 SAYS ABOUT SOMEONE DESPISING ONE OF GOD'S LITTLE ONES (I BELIEVE THIS MEANS A NEW CHRISTIAN), "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. IN VERSE 6 OF THIS SAME CHAPTER IT SAYS "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." I WOULD SAY THAT THE ANGELS WATCHING OVER US ARE WONDERFUL BUT WE DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH OTHER ANGEL'S CHARGES.
I HAVE A BAD HABIT IN SAYING TO PEOPLE WHO ARE LEAVING ON A TRIP THAT THEIR ANGELS GO WITH THEM. I KNOW THEIR ANGELS WILL GO WITH THEM AND I WAS GOING TO TRY TO STOP BUT THEN I THOUGHT, THIS JUST MIGHT MAKE THEM THINK ABOUT GOD AND HIM SENDING HIS ANGELS TO GO WITH THEM. ANYTIME I CAN GET SOMEONE TO THINK ABOUT GOD, I FEEL I HAVE DONE A GOOD THING. LET'S ALL TRY TO GET PEOPLE THINKING ABOUT GOD ANYTIME WE CAN.
