I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

DID YOU KNOW THAT THE UNBELIEVERS CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE? THAT IS WHAT JESUS SAYS IN LUKE 8:10 "And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand." JESUS IS TALKING TO HIS DISCIPLES WHEN HE SAID THIS. NOW THE QUESTION IS, HOW ARE THEY GOING TO BE BORN AGAIN IF THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE? LET'S LOOK AT ROMANS 10:14 FOR A MINUTE. THE FIRST PART OF IT ASKS US HOW THEY CAN GET TO KNOW JESUS. THE LAST OF THIS VERSE INDICATES THAT WE HAVE TO TELL THEM. THAT IS WHY JESUS TAUGHT SO MUCH IN PARABLES SO THE UNBELIEVERS COULD UNDERSTAND. HERE IS THE VERSE, "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"
SO, IF JESUS TAUGHT WITH PARABLES, WHY SHOULDN'T WE DO THE SAME. THE DEFINITION OF A PARABLE IS "A SHORT ALLEGORICAL STORY DESIGNED TO ILLUSTRATE OR TEACH SOME TRUTH, RELIGIOUS PRINCIPLE, OR MORAL LESSON". WE CAN TELL STORIES ABOUT OURSELVES OR SOMEONE ELSE THAT HAS TO DO WITH HOW JESUS LOVES THEM AND AND WHAT HE DID FOR THEM AND THE WHOLE WORLD. PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND THIS.
JESUS GIVES US A COMMANDMENT WHICH IS FOUND IN MATTHEW 28:19-20 WHERE HE SAYS TO "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
ALL OF US CAN FIND WAYS OF SHARING JESUS. THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO FULFILL THEIR LIVES SO WHY DON'T WE ALL GIVE THEM THE LOVE OF JESUS. IF WE JUST SHOW THAT LOVE IN OUR OWN LIVES. IT JUST MIGHT BE WHAT IT TAKES TO CONVERT THEM. LET'S DON'T LET THEM DOWN.
