BEING UNDER GRACE THROUGH JESUS

                                 BEING UNDER GRACE THROUGH JESUS

DID YOU KNOW THAT WHEN THE BIBLE TALKS ABOUT THE CIRCUMCISED IT IS TALKING ABOUT THE JEWS AND WHEN IT TALKS ABOUT THE UNCIRCUMCISED IT IS TALKING ABOUT US.  THIS BRINGS ME TO COLOSSIANS 2:11-12 WHERE IT SAYS "In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:  Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead."  CIRCUMCISION WAS UNDER THE LAW AND WAS ONLY FOR ISRAEL, AND WE ARE UNDER GRACE THROUGH JESUS.  WHEN ISRAEL REJECTED JESUS AS THE MESSIAH, THE GOSPEL OF GRACE WAS GIVEN TO PAUL TO GIVE TO US, THE GENTILES.

THIS IS WHY WE CAN SAY THAT WE ARE COMPLETE AND FULL THROUGH JESUS.  LOOK WHAT IT SAYS IN VERSE 8-10 "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power."  THE GREEK WORD THAT WAS TRANSLATED "COMPLETE" MEANS "TO MAKE REPLETE".  I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT REPLETE MEANT SO I LOOKED IT UP AND STRONG'S CONCORDANCE SAYS IT MEANS "PLENTIFULLY SUPPLIED, ABOUNDING, FILLED TO SATIATION AND GORGED".  THIS MAKES THE WORD "COMPLETE" REALLY MEAN SOMETHING, DOESN'T IT.

JESUS SAYS IN JOHN 15:5 "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."  WE ARE COMPLETE IN JESUS AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDED.  JUST TRUST HIM TODAY AND LET HIM TAKE CARE OF ALL THE REST..  HE LOVES US AND KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR US.  ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS TO HAVE FAITH TO BELIEVE ALL THAT HE SAYS.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
