JESUS WANTS US TO KNOW HIM
JESUS TELLS US IN MATTHEW 11:29 TO LEARN OF HIM. THAT ONE VERSE HAS SO MUCH IN IT AND TELLS US A LOT ABOUT HIM. READ IT FOR YOURSELF "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." IT IS HARD TO THINK OF JESUS BEING MEEK AND LOWLY BUT LOOK HOW HE CHOSE TO COME INTO THIS WORLD. HAD THAT BEEN YOU OR ME, WE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE COME DOWN IN A SPACE SHIP AS BIG AS A FOOTBALL FIELD WITH FIRE COMING OUT OF ALL SIDES OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
ALTHOUGH HE IS MEEK AND LOWLY, PHILIPPIANS 2:9-11 SAYS "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. FOR THIS REASON WE CAN, AND SHOULD, TAKE HIS YOKE UPON US AND THEN WE CAN FIND REST. THE YOKE WAS USED ON OXEN TO GET THEM TO SERVE AND SYMBOLIZES US SERVING JESUS IF WE WILL TAKE HIS YOKE UPON US.
SO STUDY YOUR BIBLE AND LEARN AS MUCH AS YOU CAN ABOUT HIM. THE MORE YOU LEARN, THE BETTER YOUR LIFE WILL BE. AS IT SAYS IN 2ND CORINTHIANS 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." BEING A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST BRING ON RESPONSIBILITIES. JUST REMEMBER SATAN WILL TRY EVERYTHING HE CAN TO STEAL THAT WORD FROM YOU BUT DON'T LET HIM. RESIST HIM AND HE HAS TO FLEE FROM YOU.
