WE REALLY MUST BE ON GUARD AGAINST BEING DECEIVED. JOHN TELLS US THAT WE NEED TO WALK AFTER HIS COMMANDMENT, WHICH IS LOVE, BUT WE MUST BE CAREFUL "2ND JOHN 17 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." THE DEVIL IS ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT SEARCHING FOR WHOM HE MAY DECEIVE AND THEREBY DESTROY. JOHN 20:31 WILL HELP US WITH OUR STRUGGLE AND I QUOTE "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."
JESUS TELLS US IN LUKE 21:8 TO TAKE HEED AND I QUOTE "And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them." YOU MIGHT NOT THINK THIS CAN HAPPEN BUT IT HAS AND WILL AGAIN. LOOK AT JIM JONES AND WHAT HAPPENED IN JONESTOWN WITH THE PEOPLE'S TEMPLE. THERE WERE OTHERS ALSO LIKE DAVID KORESH WITH THE BRANCH DAVIDIANS AT WACO, AND MARSHALL APPLEWHITE WITH HEAVEN'S GATE. SATAN IS WORKING OVERTIME AND WE MUST BE READY.
JUST A SIDE NOTE...IF ANYONE COMES TO YOUR DOOR GIVING AWAY LITTLE BROCHURES, YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE, THEY DO NOT BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS GOD. DO NOT ASSOCIATE WITH THEM IN ANY WAY. LOOK WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT THEM IN 2ND JOHN 1:9-11 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE A PARTAKER OF THEIR EVIL DEEDS. NOW YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO AND THIS IS NOT ME SAYING THAT, IT IS GOD'S HOLY WORD.
I WILL LEAVE YOU WITH ONE MORE SCRIPTURE. JESUS IS TELLING US THIS FOR A PURPOSE. WE MUST BE PREPARED AND THERE IS NO BETTER WAY TO BE PREPARED THAN TO CONTINUALLY STUDYING THE BIBLE. LOOK WHAT HE SAYS IN MATTHEW 24:24 AND I QUOTE "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." YOU ARE FOREWARNED. DO NOT BE ONE OF THE ELECT AND BE DECEIVED.
