DO YOU KNOW HOW TO STOP TEMPTATION?
ARE YOU BEING TEMPTED RIGHT NOW WITH SOMETHING YOU THINK IS TOO HARD TO BEAR? FIRST, THERE ARE NO UNIQUE OR NEW TEMPTATIONS. SATAN WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO THINK THERE ARE AND THAT NO ONE WOULD UNDERSTAND YOURS. HOWEVER, SATAN IS A DECEIVER. THE BIBLE SAYS IN 1ST CORINTHIANS 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able ; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
JESUS WAS TEMPTED AND KNOWS WHAT IT IS LIKE AND WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH. SEE WHAT IT SAYS IN HEBREWS 2:18 "Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted." JESUS USED SCRIPTURE TO DEFEAT THE DEVIL IN HIS TEMPTATIONS. IF HE CAN DO IT, WE CAN TOO.
TELL THE TEMPTER (THE DEVIL) TO LEAVE YOU ALONE BECAUSE YOU HAVE JESUS IN YOU. ALSO, JUST REMEMBER WHAT IT SAYS IN JAMES WHEN YOU THINK GOD IS TEMPTING YOU TO MAKE YOU A BETTER PERSON. JAMES 1:13 "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:"
