THANK HIM BY "DOING" AND NOT JUST "SAYING"
THANK HIM BY "DOING" AND NOT JUST "SAYING"
I AM SURE WE ALL ARE THANKFUL FOR WHAT JESUS DID FOR US. NATURALLY, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT HE TOOK OUR SINS AND SICKNESSES TO THE CROSS. BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE OTHER THINGS HE HAS DONE, AND IS DOING, FOR US THAT WE DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT? THE SAD THING IS THAT THERE ARE NO WORDS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, OR ANY LANGUAGE, THAT CAN EXPRESS THE THANKFULNESS WE SHOULD HAVE FOR ALL HIS BLESSINGS. I KNOW WE SAY "THANK YOU" BUT THOSE ARE JUST WORDS, EVEN THOUGH WE REALLY MEAN IT.
WHEN I WAS THINKING ABOUT WHAT TO WRITE THIS MORNING, THE PHRASE "ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS" CAME TO MIND AND I REALIZE THE BEST THING WE CAN DO TO THANK HIM IS TO OBEY WHAT HE SAYS. (MATTHEW 10"8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.) IF JESUS DIDN'T EXPECT US TO DO THESE THINGS, WHY WOULD HE HAVE TOLD US TO DO THEM? AS FOR HEALING, I KNOW JESUS IS THE HEALER BUT HE GAVE US AUTHORITY TO DO THIS THROUGH HIS NAME. I WOULD THINK THIS WOULD BE A GREAT WAY TO THANK HIM.
WHAT ABOUT SHARING THE GOSPEL, THAT HE DIED, WAS BURIED AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD. HE TELLS US TO DO THIS. IN MATTHEW 24:14 JESUS SAYS "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come". IN MARK 16:15 HE SAYS "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature". AND, IN MATTHEW 28:19 HE SAYS "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost". WOULDN'T THIS BE ANOTHER GREAT WAY OF THANKING HIM?
I KNOW THAT ALL OF US DON'T HAVE A HEALING MINISTRY AND I KNOW THAT THERE ARE VERY FEW THAT HAVE SO GREAT A FAITH THAT THEY CAN RAISE THE DEAD. HOWEVER, WE CAN TELL EVERYONE WE KNOW ABOUT JESUS AND WHAT HE DID FOR US ALL. WE NEED TO DO WHAT WE CAN. IN MATTHEW 10:8 HE SAYS "freely ye have received, freely give". WE ALL CAN DO THIS. THANK HIM TODAY BY "DOING" AND NOT JUST "SAYING":.
