About
I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO STUDY GOD'S WORD?
DO YOU KNOW HOW TO STUDY GOD'S WORD?
IN STUDYING THE BIBLE, IT IS GOOD TO REALLY READ CAREFULLY WHAT IT IS SAYING AND PAY ATTENTION WHEN THE TRANSLATORS ADD A WORD. THEY USUALLY ARE IN ITALICS, IN THE KING JAMES BIBLE, AND ARE ADDED TO MAKE THE SENTENCE SOUND RIGHT. HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THAT SOMETIMES IT CHANGES THE MEANING OF THE SCRIPTURE. ONE OF THE REASONS I SAY THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE VERSES JOHN 12:31-33 WHICH READS " Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all (men) unto me. 33 This he said, signifying what death he should die."
IN VERSE 32 THE WORD "MEN" IS IN ITALICS WHICH INDICATES THAT IT WAS NOT IN THE ORIGINAL TEXT. I DON'T BELIEVE IT WAS TALKING ABOUT "MEN" BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT ALL MEN ARE NOT DRAWN TO HIM. IF THEY WERE, IT WOULD BE A LOT EASIER TO BRING THEM TO JESUS. ANYWAY, JOHN 6:44 SAYS THAT GOD THE FATHER HAS TO DRAW ANY MAN. (JOHN 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.) I BELIEVE THE WORD SHOULD HAVE BEEN "SIN" SINCE IN VERSE 31 HE IS TALKING ABOUT JUDGEMENT AND WHAT WAS BEING JUDGE.....SIN. AND, VERSE 33 IS TALKING ABOUT SIGNIFYING WHAT DEATH HE SHOULD DIE AND WE KNOW HE DIED FOR OUR SINS. THIS IS JUST MY THINKING AND THERE IS NO WAY TO PROVE IT. ANYWAY, WE NEED TO KNOW THAT SOME OF THE WORDS WERE NOT IN THE ORIGINAL TEXT.
I PRAY THAT WHEN YOU ARE STUDYING THE WORD, YOU WILL KEEP IN MIND A FEW MORE THINGS. THEY ARE, WHO IS TALKING AND WHO ARE THEY TALKING TO AND MAKE SURE IT LINES UP WITH THE REST OF THE CHAPTER. I WILL GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE. IN 1ST JOHN 1:2, JOHN WRITES "And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." WHEN JOHN SAYS "AND NOT FOR OURS ONLY", HE IS TALKING TO BELIEVERS AND HE GOES ON TO SAY THAT JESUS IS THE PROPITIATION FOR THE "WHOLE WORLD". ALL SIN HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF, PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE. THE ONLY WAY SOMEONE WILL GO TO HELL IS FOR NOT ACCEPTING JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR.
REMEMBER, THIS IS JUST WHAT I THINK AND JUST PUT IT OUT THERE FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
