I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
WHEN PAUL SPEAKS OF NOT BEING ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, DO YOU TRULY KNOW WHAT THE GOSPEL IS? HE SAYS IN Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
I WANTED TO SEE WHAT THE DICTIONARY HAD TO SAY AND FOUND THIS. GOSPEL "The history of the birth, life, actions, death, resurrection, ascension and doctrines of Jesus Christ; or a revelation of the grace of God to fallen man through a mediator, including the character, actions, and doctrines of Christ, with the whole scheme of salvation, as revealed by Christ and his apostles. This gospel is said to have been preached to Abraham, by the promise, "in thee shall all nations be blessed." THIS IS WHY MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE AND JOHN ARE CALLED "THE GOSPELS" BECAUSE THEY TELL ALL ABOUT JESUS. I ALSO LIKE ACTS 4:12 WHERE IT SAYS "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
NOW IF THE GOSPEL IS THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION, WHAT IS SALVATION? I ALSO FOUND THIS DEFINITION OF SALVATION, "The act of saving; preservation from destruction, danger or great calamity. Appropriately in theology, the redemption of man from the bondage of sin and liability to eternal death, and the conferring on him everlasting happiness."
NOW WHAT DOES PAUL TELLS US ABOUT THE GOSPEL IN 1ST CORINTHIANS 15:1-4 WHERE HE SAYS "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." THIS GOSPEL IS WHAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE FAITH TO BELIEVE IN ORDER TO BE SAVED.
I AM SURE MOST OF YOU KNEW ALL OF THIS BUT FOR SOME WHO DIDN'T, I HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU IN SOME WAY. GET TO KNOW JESUS IN A MORE PERSONAL WAY. TALK TO HIM AND FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM. HE LOVES YOU AND WANTS YOU TO LOVE HIM. HE DIED FOR US SO AT LEAST WE CAN LIVE FOR HIM.
