DEMONS IN CHURCH
HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT THAT DEMON POSSESSED PEOPLE MIGHT BE IN YOUR CHURCH? YES, THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE DEMON POSSESSED. I'LL GIVE YOU A COUPLE OF EXAMPLE BUT THERE ARE A TOTAL OF SIX TIMES IN MATTHEW, FOUR TIMES IN MARK AND ONE TIME IN LUKE THAT THE PHRASE "POSSESSED WITH DEVILS (OR DEMONS)" WAS USED.
MATTHEW 4:24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. AND, THEY CAN BE IN YOUR CHURCH. MARK 1:23-24 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
IF THEY WERE IN THE CHURCHES BACK THEN, THEY CERTAINLY ARE TODAY. I KNOW OF AT LEASE TWO REASONS THEY COULD BE THERE. THE PERSON KNOWS THEY ARE DEMON POSSESSED AND THEY ARE THERE TO GET HELP. ALSO, THE DEVIL PUTS THE DEMON POSSESSED PEOPLE IN CHURCHES TO CAUSE UNREST IN THE CHURCH. THE MORE THE DEVIL CAN CAUSE TROUBLE IN THE CHURCH, THE BETTER HE LIKES IT. WE HAVE TO HELP THE ONES THAT WANT HELP AND CAST OUT THE ONES THAT ARE THERE TO CAUSE TROUBLE.
YOU KNOW WE DO HAVE THAT POWER TO CAST THEM OUT. IN MATTHEW 10:8, JESUS TELLS US TO "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." IT IS UP TO US. IF WE COULD NOT DO THIS THEN JESUS WOULD NOT HAVE COMMANDED US TO DO IT. WE MUST BE BOLD AND LET JESUS SHINE THROUGH US. WE WILL MAKE PEOPLE EITHER MAD OR GLAD BUT WE WILL MADE A DIFFERENCE.
