WHEN YOU READ THE BIBLE AND SEE THE WORD GOSPEL, DO YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT IT MEANS? IT APPEARS 98 TIMES IN THE KING JAMES VERSION AND A LOT OF CHRISTIANS JUST READ OVER THE WORD NOT KNOWING WHAT IT REALLY MEANS.
THE MOST COMMON DEFINITION IS "GOOD NEWS" OR I LIKE THE DEFINITION "ALMOST TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE NEWS" BUT THE 1828 NOAH WEBSTER DICTIONARY SAYS IT MEANS "The history of the birth, life, actions, death, resurrection, ascension and doctrines of Jesus Christ." THIS DEFINITION REALLY COVERS THE WHOLE GOSPEL.
I LOVE WHAT PAUL SAID IN ROMANS 1:16 THAT "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. HE ALSO SAID TO THE CORINTHIANS IN 1ST CORINTHIANS 15:1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." PAUL WAS NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST AND WE SHOULDN'T BE EITHER. TELL PEOPLE ABOUT JESUS TODAY. YOU JUST MIGHT SAVE THEIR LIVES IF THEY WILL LISTEN AND BELIEVE.
