I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

"SELF SEEKING NOT GOD SEEKING" BY ANDREW WOMMACK
Jesus knew the hearts of all men and therefore, He did not commit Himself to this crowd. Just the day before, these same people tried to take Him by force and make Him their king, but He withdrew and spent the night in prayer.
This crowd looked like they were seeking Jesus, but they were actually trying to use Jesus to seek their own end. It is true that there are many personal benefits to be reaped through serving the Lord, but the benefits are never to become our object. In all things, Christ must have the preeminence (Col. 1:18).
Jesus exposed the true intentions of the people's hearts by preaching a strong message of commitment. Those who were self-centered were offended and left while those who were willing to lay down their lives to experience God's abundant life remained. Commitment to God Himself (not what He can produce) is what always separates the true worshippers of God from the false.
As Jesus began to explain in these verses that He was the only way to the Father (Jn. 14:6) and that they would have to come through Him, the people grew angry. It always angers the flesh to think that all our righteous acts can't save us, but Jesus made it clear that our only part in salvation is to believe. Believe what? Believe on Jesus and His sacrifice - not ours. Salvation is a gift and cannot be purchased (Rom. 10:2-3).
Many times, we get so intent on seeking God in one area that we forget the greatest miracle of all, which is the love and redemption given to us from God through His Son. God loves us so much!
John 6:26, "Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled."
It's almost as to say you can keep you sin but you shall reap reward for following me today. We are naturally sinners. We were born into a sinful world. The world is FAR from being GOOD! Christ hung around tax collectors but he did not identify with their sin. In other words if he hung around sinners/smokers and alcoholics today would he part-take in smoking and drinking! No! He preached and many changed. It can be a complicated thing and only GOD can judge someone's heart and their true intention. He said to love your enemy but he did not say to continue in sin with them. The truth is distorted as to error is taken as truth, and real truth is despised/ignore/suppressed. God's word say's the ways of the word make you an enemy of God, and the world implies it's ways are good for you. But the fruits are evident. Abortion - The numbers are in the millions around the world. And then when Christ came there was no nuclear weapons yet. All of the multiplied sins today are magnified but people follow the ways of the world which is opposed to Gods word. How much is enough? But I am sure there are those who "really" follow the true Christ of scripture. People WANT. We are sinners and drawn away. God's word says touch not that which is infected and he will receive you. The sad truth! Remember on judgement day as Christ will tell many.. "I never knew you".
I've met people that cannot even come close to the true Christ. No matter what proof. "You will know them by their fruits" they cling onto the error/The lie. They do not love the truth. Even if say their friend seems blessed whom follows NOT the christ of scripture/but they follow another Christ.. they may follow that friend thinking.. they are blessed.. God loves them but totally ignore the true Christ and his word. They do not listen to sound doctrine. God gave them up and sent them strong delusion as it is written. I've tested it and it's true. God knew already who would be as such.
I heard a friend imply GOD IS IN CONTROL. As if they meant to say continue in your sin. Don't worry about it. Will you follow your friends to hell. Many WILL! and DO! They ignore scripture and connect to their bad side using it as strength. Did Christ do this? No! But he did say some pretty hard things. Such as : Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and every impurity.
Every Impurity. This is truly the world we live in. So sad! Is this real love? No. This is darkness! Unfortunately this is the truth that we are being lead astray in so many ways!
Remember Peter denied Christ. Christ told him he would. Are YOU denying Christ?
But Christ made it clear that MANY will not make it to heaven. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
There are people seeking GOD and people that are committed. On the other hand if you go to a mall you can tell just by the outfits people wear revealing flesh, as too what their morals truly are. Our hearts and minds have been influences and polluted by the sins of this world. But God's word makes it clear judgment day is real. Repent today! The normal is swearing in work places and all around. Man will be judged on every idol word. You know the scripture, don't you?. People take the name of God in vain and connect STRONGLY to vanity today. Christ was HUMBLE. He said the least will be first. And the first least! It makes sense. People are prideful in their vanity. They think they are better than other because of it. They worship each other. Just look at advertising, TV. what do they use.. "LOOKS" to sell. They sell YOU! You NEED THIS & THAT! They hated Christ and they hated the true profits. The truth is as many as lead astray that some who seek try and serve two kingdoms. What does light have in common with darkness as scripture implies?
People smoke outside coffee shops and pass that second hand smoke to others and children. Perhaps sometimes they are rebellious and like doing that. They love the sin and ignore GOD. And the companies whom sell these toxic products. How will GOD judge them?
Just imagine what God truly thinks about this world today where people have elevated and multiplied sin that carries a track record that is known, yet they see it and think/say/it is GOD. Christ said there is not even one whom is good. It's time to repent of your sin people, start reading scripture and seek Christ "Yeshua". Pray directly to GOD! Instead of spending time watching that TUBE.. spent time seeking GOD and his WORD!
We can turn to GOD, his word, prayer and seek change and God's ways. A start is better than none. Choose where you will spend eternity .. with GOD or NOT?
I THINK IT COMES DOWN TO JEREMIAH 29:13 WHICH SAYS "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE SAYING THEY ARE SEEKING GOD BUT ARE BLINDED BY THE PLEASURES OF THE WORLD.
