"CAN YOU LEAD SOMEONE TO JESUS" BY DAVID MCMILLEN
DID YOU KNOW THAT "NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION". THAT IS WHAT IT SAYS IN 2ND CORINTHIANS 6:2 "For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." JUST PRAYING FOR SOMEONE TO BE SAVED IS NOT ENOUGH. ROMANS 10:14 SAYS THAT IF THEY HAVEN'T HEARD, HOW CAN THEY BELIEVE. "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" THE NEXT VERSE IS TALKING ABOUT US. WE NEED TO GO. (And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!) IF WE DON'T TELL THEM, HOW WILL THEY KNOW.
IN ISAIAH 49:8, ISAIAH PROPHESIED ABOUT THE DAY WHEN JESUS WILL SAVE US. "Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages." PAUL EVEN TALKS ABOUT TODAY BEING THE DAY OF SALVATION IN 2ND CORINTHIANS 6:2 "For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."
NON-BELIEVERS CAN'T JUST COME TO JESUS WHENEVER THEY GET READY. JESUS TELLS US THIS IN JOHN 6:44 WHEN HE SAID "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." SINNERS NEED TO KNOW THIS AND WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT DRAWS THEM, THEY NEED TO RESPOND BECAUSE IT MIGHT BE THEIR LAST TIME. JUST REMEMBER THAT WE NEED TO ACT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE AS THIS WHOLE MESSAGE HAS BEEN SAYING...."NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION".
IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO LEAD SOMEONE TO JESUS, FIND OUT AND PRACTICE. THE MORE YOU DO IT THE EASIER IT GETS. BE SURE TO TELL THEM WHAT THEY HAVE TO BELIEVE. IF YOU ASK SOMEONE IF THEY BELIEVE IN JESUS, THEY MIGHT SAY YES BECAUSE THEY HAVE HEARD ABOUT HIM BEFORE. IT IS WHAT THEY MUST BELIEVE IS THE CORE OF SALVATION AND THAT IS FOUND IN 1ST CORINTHIANS 15:3-4 WHERE IT SAYS "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." THIS IS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST AND YOU DON'T GET TO HEAVEN WITHOUT BELIEVING IT. HE IS THE ONLY WAY. HE EVEN SAYS THIS WHEN HE IS TALKING TO HIS DISCIPLES IN JOHN 14:6 WHEN HE TELLS THEM "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT DO NOT KNOW ALL OF THIS AND WE MUST TELL THEM SO LET'S ALL DO OUR PART.
