IN EPHESIANS 6, IT TALKS ABOUT PUTTING ON THE ARMOUR OF GOD. I BELIEVE THAT IS A PRACTICE ALL OF US, ESPECIALLY PARENTS, SHOULD DO EVERY MORNING. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARS AND AS I PUT ON EACH PIECE, I VISUALIZE THAT PIECE IN MY MIND AND PUT IN ON EACH CHILD, MY WIFE AND MYSELF. JUST RECENTLY I HAVE BEEN IMPRESSED TO INCLUDE THE ORPHANS AND WIDOWS. I HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR THEM FOR YEARS BUT AFTER READING JAMES 1:27, I THOUGHT ABOUT PUTTING THE ARMOUR ON THEM AND THE ONES WHO ARE TAKING CARE OF THEM. JAMES 1:27 SAYS "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
I BELIEVE IT MAKES MORE SENSE TO USE THAT DEFINITION AND NOT TO JUST SIT AROUND WAITING. WHEN JOSHUA WAS LEADING THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL AND TOLD THE PRIEST TO TAKE THE ARK AND CROSS THE JORDAN. THE WATER DID NOT PART UNTIL THEY STEPPED INTO THE WATER. I'M NOT SURE THE WATERS WOULD HAVE PARTED IF THEY HAD WAITED TO STEP ON DRY LAND. "JOSHUA 3:13 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap."
