I BELIEVE THE PEOPLE THAT CONSTANTLY SAY THAT THE BIBLE IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND ARE JUST MAKING EXCUSES FOR NOT STUDYING THE BIBLE OR ARE NOT TAKING THE TIME TO REALLY DIG FOR THE ANSWERS SO THEY CAN UNDERSTAND IT. THERE ARE OVER 40 TRANSLATIONS OF THE BIBLE ON THE INTERNET AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY ANY OF THEM. NOW IF YOU ARE NOT BORN AGAIN, I DON'T CARE HOW MUCH YOU TRY TO UNDERSTAND IT, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. LET ME GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. DO YOU THINK SATAN IS GOING TO LET HIS PEOPLE (THE LOST) UNDERSTAND IT?
LET'S LOOK AT 2ND CORINTHIANS 4:3-4 FOR A MINUTE "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." SOME PEOPLE THINK IT IS UNFAIR FOR GOD NOT TO LET THE LOST UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE. THEY THINK BY UNDERSTANDING IT THEY MIGHT RECEIVE JESUS. NOTHING IS UNFAIR WITH GOD. WE CHRISTIANS KNOW THAT IT IS NOT OUR GOD THAT IS BLINDING THEIR EYES, IT IS THEIR GOD, SATAN, THEY LOOK AT THE ABOVE VERSE WHERE IT SAYS "IN WHOM THE GOD OF THIS WORLD HATH BLINDED THE MINDS OF THEM WHICH BELIEVE NOT" AND DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE READING. IT IS NOT OUR GOD BUT THE "GOD OF THIS WORLD". DO YOU SEE THE LITTLE "G" ABOVE THAT I HAVE MADE BOLD? IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, SATAN IS DEPICTED AS THE GOD OF THIS WORLD, THE PRINCE OF THIS WORLD (JOHN 12:31, 14:30, AND 16:11), AND THE PRINCE OF THE DEVILS (MATTHEW 12:24).
I WILL LEAVE YOU WITH THIS THOUGHT. REFUSING TO ACCEPT JESUS IS THE CAUSE FOR NOT UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE. PAUL SAID IN COLOSSIANS 2:2-3 "That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." WITHOUT JESUS, THERE IS NO ACCESS TO THIS WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE. WHEN PEOPLE TURN TO JESUS WITH TRUE CHILDLIKE FAITH, THEN THE GOSPEL OF JESUS IS NO LONGER HIDDEN FROM THEM. HE DOES NOT WANT ANY TO PERISH. HE DIED FOR US ALL AND LOVES US ALL. WE NEED TO SHOW HIM JUST HOW MUCH WE LOVE HIM BY TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT HIM AND OBEYING HIM. HE WANTS ALL OF US TO UNDERSTAND HIS WORD AND YOU CAN'T JUST PLAY AT BEING A CHRISTIAN BUT YOU REALLY HAVE TO WANT IT. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
