"LAY HANDS ON THE SICK" BY DAVID MCMILLEN
WHEN YOU PRAY FOR SOMEONE TO BE HEALED, DO YOU LAY YOUR HANDS ON THEM? DID YOU KNOW THIS IS A BIBLE PRINCIPLE AND IS MENTIONED SEVERAL TIMES. LET'S LOOK AT JUST THREE OF THEM.
JESUS SAYS IN MARK 16:18 "They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."
LUKE IS TALKING ABOUT JESUS LAYING HANDS ON THE SICK IN LUKE 4:40 WHERE HE SAYS "Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them."
LUKE IS TELLING ABOUT PAUL LAYING HANDS ON THE SICK IN ACTS 28:8 WHERE HE SAYS "And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him."
STILL NOT SURE WE SHOULD BE DOING THIS? I SAY, IF IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR JESUS AND PAUL, IT IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. JUST REMEMBER HOLY SPIRIT LIVES IN US AND THIS IS THE SAME SPIRIT THAT RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD. THAT POWER CAN FLOW THROUGH US AND WILL HEAL. JESUS TOLD US IN MATTHEW 10:8 TO "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." LET GOD USE YOU TO TOUCH SOMEONE TODAY.
