"GETTING TO KNOW JESUS THROUGH HIS WORD" BY DAVID MCMILLEN

DO YOU BELIEVE THE WHOLE BIBLE IS TRUE? A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T, EVEN SOME CHRISTIANS. I OFTEN WONDERED HOW THEY COULD PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT THEY WANT TO BELIEVE AND THINK THEY ARE SAVED. I ONLY SAY THIS BECAUSE OF WHAT PAUL SAYS TO TIMOTHY IN 2ND TIMOTHY 3:16-17 WHERE HE SAYS "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH ME TRYING TO TEACH A MESSAGE LIKE THIS ONE IS THAT THEY CAN CHOOSE NOT TO BELIEVE THESE TWO VERSES. THERE IS NOT A LOT ANYONE CAN DO BUT TO PRAY FOR THEM. IF ALL SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED BY GOD HIMSELF, HOW CAN ANY CHRISTIAN NOT BELIEVE IN IT?

THE PROBLEM I HAVE WITH THESE PEOPLE IS THAT THEY WANT TO ARGUE ABOUT THE SCRIPTURES. THEY HAVE LEARNED JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE REALLY RELIGIOUS. IF THEY ONLY KNEW. IT IS GOOD TO KNOW THE SCRIPTURES AND DISCUSS THEM BUT DON'T ARGUE ABOUT THEM. JUST AGREE TO DISAGREE AND LET THAT BE IT. IF THERE ARE NEW CHRISTIANS AROUND WHEN THIS IS GOING ON, IT ONLY CONFUSES THEM AND COULD MAKE THEM TURN AWAY FROM THE WORD. LOOK WHAT JESUS SAYS ABOUT HIS LITTLE ONES IN MATTHEW 18:2-6 "And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." WOULD YOU WANT TO BE ONE OF THESE WHO OFFEND ONE OF HIS CHILDREN? I THINK NOT!!!!!!

STUDY THE WORD AND REALLY GET TO KNOW IT SO YOU CAN MINISTER TO THOSE WHO REALLY NEED IT. BELIEVE IN GOD'S WORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART. ALWAYS SEEK HIM FIRST AND CONTINUALLY THANK HIM FOR ALL YOUR BLESSINGS. ALSO THANK HIM FOR THINGS HE IS DOING THAT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT. HE LOVE US AND WANTS THE BEST FOR US AND THE SOONER WE CAN GET THIS THROUGH OUR HEADS, THE BETTER OFF WE WILL BE. HE REALLY DOES LOVE US.
