I AM AN 80 YEAR OLD MALE, BORN AGAIN, CHRISTIAN WITH A LOVE FOR JESUS. I DO NOT GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE BUT FIND THAT TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT THE LOVE JESUS HAS FOR THEM IS NOT ONLY WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO BUT SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD NEEDS.

"JESUS, THE SON OF GOD AND MAN" BY DAVID MCMILLEN
BEFORE I GET STARTED THIS MORNING, I WOULD LIKE TO CLEAR UP SOMETHING. PEOPLE HAVE ASKED ME WHY I KEEP SAYING THAT JESUS IS GOD INSTEAD OF THE SON OF GOD. HE IS BOTH. LET'S READ JOHN 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. NOW WE HAVE TO SEE WHAT THE BIBLE WAS TALKING ABOUT WHEN IT SAYS "THE WORD WAS GOD"...WHO IS THE WORD? LET'S READ THE 14TH VERSE OF JOHN 1 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." THAT COULD ONLY BE TALKING ABOUT JESUS.
NOW THAT THAT IS CLEARED UP, LET'S LOOK AT HIS PUTTING AWAY HIS DIVINITY TO BECAME A MAN. THE BIBLE TELLS OF HIM EATING AND DRINKING, FEELING PAIN AND SLEEPING...ALL THE THINGS WE HUMANS DO. JESUS EVEN CALLED HIMSELF "THE SON OF MAN". (LUKE 24:6-7 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. AGAIN, THIS CAN ONLY BE JESUS.
I LIKE THE STORY IN MARK 4 ABOUT JESUS SLEEPING. AFTER JESUS HAD BEEN TEACHING IN PARABLES ALL DAY HE GOT INTO ONE OF THE BOATS AND SAID TO THEM, "Let us pass over unto the other side." YOU HAVE TO REALIZE THE BOATS BACK THEN DIDN'T HAVE CABINS BUT WERE OPEN AND JESUS GOT INTO THE BOAT, LAY DOWN ON A PILLOW AND WENT TO SLEEP. A BIG STORM AROSE AND THE BOAT STARTED FILLING WITH WATER. JESUS, BEING A HUMAN MAN, MUST HAVE BEEN REALLY TIRED BECAUSE BEING AS WET AS HE MUST HAVE BEEN, HE WAS ASLEEP.
THE BIBLE SAYS THAT JESUS ALSO MUST SUFFER, (MATTHEW 16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.) AND IN MATTHEW 17 HE IS REFERRED TO AS THE "SON OF MAN" NOT THE "SON OF GOD", THUS PUTTING AWAY HIS DIVINITY. (12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.)
I SAY ALL THIS TO REMIND YOU HOW JESUS SUFFERED FOR US. IT IS EASY TO JUST SAY THAT JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS AND NOT REALLY THINK ABOUT WHAT ALL THAT WENT ON. AS BAD AS THE PAIN AND SUFFERING WAS, I AM SURE THAT THE GREATEST PAIN WAS WHEN GOD TURNED AWAY FROM HIM (MATTHEW 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?) JESUS HAD TAKEN UPON HIMSELF THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD AND OUR HOLY GOD COULD NOT LOOK UPON ALL THAT SIN AND THIS SIN WAS WHAT WAS KEEPING US FROM A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND JESUS TOTALLY REMOVED IT. HE PAID FOR IT ALL....IN FULL.
THIS IS WHY WE CAN HAVE THAT CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD BECAUSE GOD NOW SEES US THROUGH JESUS...WITHOUT SIN. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THAT CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, YOU CAN. JESUS MADE IT POSSIBLE SO GO TO HIM, TALK TO HIM. LAUGH WITH HIM, CRY WITH HIM...HE IS RIGHT THERE WITH YOU ALL THE TIME. ASK HIM WHAT YOU SHOULD DO ON THE THINGS IN YOUR LIFE. HE WILL TELL YOU BECAUSE HE WANTS THE BEST FOR YOU. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO FEEL ALONE AGAIN. HE LOVES YOU!!!

Bless you today David. How many hate the truth and the devil has turned many into Pagans. Getting through to them is almost impossible. No wonder God gave them up to follow a gospel that no Angel in heaven ever preached unto them.
He is that he is and he is risen but he is not a pagan deity as his Kingdom is not of this earth but he has been working to build his earthly Kingdom by calling out many but few are chosen as many hate the truth. Praise the lord and bless them that come in the name of the lord. Amen
YOU ARE SO RIGHT WAYNE AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSIGHT. IT IS ALWAYS GOOD AND RIGHT ON. WHEN SO MANY PEOPLE DON'T READ THE BIBLE IT IS HARD FOR THEM TO KNOW THE TRUTH AND THAT IS WHY I SPEND SO MUCH TIME ON THE BIBLE.
